Well guys, progress had a little spike early this month, but it didn't stay. Cosmo and Glem are busy as usual, and Fnar is MIA. Agent's the only one I've seen model lately (And honestly he isn't the fastest modeler  Sorry Agent I know it's not easy)
On a brighter note, we've seen the designing process gain momentum in April, which is something that does help the project. However, without models, our designs are just fan art. So, why not take advantage of our designing spike? I suggested to some IRC members that we have an "art showcase" on the SMG2.5 Youtube channel. It's not the most professional thing to do, but we're not exactly a professional team
Pretty much this would be like the idea that's been circling around for quite some time now. We show off concept art! (Finalized, of course) I mean, why not? We can have a small video with our best art to show that we're still around and that we're working hard. Then, at the end of the video, we can stress how we still need lots of help, especially 3d modelers. We can also mention how prior experience is not required and that many of started modeling with no help. Again, not very professional, but it could really help. So tell me what you guys think of this idea. Of course, I'm no admin, but I think we could make this happen if we put in lots of effort and plan ahead. If you like the idea, suggest some ideas here. Also, cosmo and Glem, I'd especially appreciate if you post what you think about this. Thanks, -MC |

Well I don't really model slowly (all of that SS planet from yesterday was done in under 2 hours), I just haven't worked on anything for a few weeks.

We've been discussing this for a long time now, even before we decided the trailer would be in-game galaxies like the last one. It's a nice idea, but even so, most approved designs either have no concept art or do and have a model already, so there isn't really any point.
