Post your concept art for Gliding Canyon Galaxy here. This is a canyon level so for ideas look at famous canyons such as the Grand Canyon.

Fluzzard levels were in my opinion some of the best looking levels of SMG2, and these levels should be no different. If you want inspiration, look at the grand canyon, there's lots of colors in there, more than you might expect:

Im thinking no trees/grass, but a really rocky, open terrain. We should make the level as open as possible.

Not super open, just several pathways in a large canyon. It has to be linear, but it shouldn't be as linear as Gliding Inferno.

This reminds of me the space movies where there is a spacecraft race in a canyon. It is extremely obvious that Mario and Fluzzard have to dodge the canyon walls.

A canyon doesn't just have to be rock. I would like to see quite a bit of trees and water.

Space does make a lot of levels look great, but I still would prefer this level to be in the daytime sky. Gliding Inferno however, should be in space (with a red tint in the sky)

Couldn't we at least give the BG a bit of red? I think blue backgrounds with lava aren't the best.

This galaxy shouldnt be TOO hard to design. It should focus on the visuals and atmosphere compared to gameplay.

You have no idea how hard it is to make a good design

Maybe this galaxy might not be as hard to design as say, Shrapnel Sandbar, but it'd still be hard.

And visuals and atmosphere fall into level design too ...

I'm not saying it would be easy to model but, conceptually, it would be one of the easier galaxies to design.

Okay, so of course this galaxy has to be visually appealing. I think what makes the glide levels so beautiful is how they immerse you in the planet. Like, you can't see above or away from the scene. We could easily do this with a canyon.

Some features I want to include are a river, waterfall, and a large cave filled with water
