I would like to know all the possibilities for what could cause that.

(Am I too straight here? Maybe...)

Probably your graphics card. Go to Whitehole settings and disable shaders. See if that works.
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

The help section is about the site, not Whitehole.

Py_hacker: If you're talking about the time Whitehole takes to load a galaxy, there's not much I can do for that. A part of this time is spent reading the galaxy data, but most of it is spent reading model data and prerendering the galaxy. This takes time, but there are already caches for models, shaders and textures, so I can't see how to make it faster.

As Stygmax suggested, disabling shaders reduces the loading time. But then you get ugly graphics.

If you're talking about lag, well, the best thing you can do is get a decent video card...

What you're talking about? If you say I posted in wrong forum, I remember posting the thread here. In General SMG hacking.

I was talking to Stygmax :P

Anyway, you haven't told me if the slowness happens when opening a galaxy, or when editing it.

When opening.

(Well, I still doesn't understand what's that help section matter...)

Well, see my first post in this thread, then. There's nothing I can do for it. Just be patient. Also, disabling shaders is really not worth it, so I suggest you keep them enabled.

How much time does the rendering takes habitually? (Everyone?)

It takes about 5s for an average size galaxy here.

Why, does it take awfully long times on your end?

I don't know. Really... And I remember Dolphin couldn't load the ISO...!!! Maybe that's the problem... the ISO's files weren't correct! I mean, the content of their files weren't correct. At least, in that case, Dolphin would have raised an "exception"?

If the files were incorrect as you're putting it, Whitehole wouldn't even be able to load them.

Also, if an edited level of yours freezes in Dolphin, you should give it to me so that I can look. I swear I had already fixed that kind of issues. Gah >_<

I'm talking of the ISO, not the levels. I couldn't even edit them with my problem! >_<

Well, perhaps I could help you with that problem if you were actually precise. What is happening? Is Whitehole freezing? Is it just taking ways too many time to open a galaxy? Is it lagging insanely?

Well, let's say I open "MarioOnMarioGalaxy". I can interact with the left panel and the save button, and the window, but the space where the rendered galaxy should be is, like, showing the windows that I opened and closed in the space where the rendered galaxy should be. Is that enough precise?
(Is that enough confusing? ;) ;) )

I see. That's... abnormal. Are there any exception messages in the console when you run Whitehole?

No, there aren't. (I'm playing Phoenix Wright in the meantime, and I could tell I feel like we're in a court... How we state all of our responses... :XD: )

There must be an issue with your graphics drivers then. Try to see if they're up to date. And that you have the good, optimized drivers to begin with-- someone who reported similar Whitehole trouble, was actually using the default Microsoft driver.

Hmm... I'm using a "IntelĀ® GM965" one...

Updating to another one... It says it's a Windows XP one...

With that, It now work!
