Instead of a remix of Gusty Garden, how about a remix of Maulio's Gravity Gardens? Only if it is not being used in a galaxy, though.

The unused W1 and W2 songs are ambient, but as far as I know, they have not been approved yet. I would say celebration music would work better.

Would a happy remix of SMB3's Grassland map theme work here?

I think it should reach into retro days. Since they were the greatest games of history. I would go for SMB3? I mean, it's good for a first map atleast. But make it new type retro. That way it will fit into the game.
