There are a couple SMG1 objects that have code in SMG2.

Ones that work currently:
Tweesters
Ice Swoopers

Not Working:
CataQuacks
Big Galactic Tornadoes

Appears But has no properties:
Mushroom
There are a few more me and Marionumber1 will have to test, for more info on these objects check it out on SMG2.5.

Maybe, but as of know, I doubt it.

Depends. If it's just matter of a one-instruction fix, it's easily doable. If the object's code was deleted, well, things get harder. It's possible to make it working but it'll never be like the original one.

Not to mention, I don't know shit about PPC assembly. And my ASM hacking skills overall are limited to little hacks eg. SM64DSe's ROM patching.

Though, one might ask Treeki about Wii ASM hacking. He did pretty advanced things, like replacing NSMBWii's worldmap engine with one he wrote in C++...

Well, you see, stuff has code into the game. It is inside of SMG2's main.dol opened with a hex editor. If you search an object name from SMG1 and it's there, that means it has code into the game.

They now have been proven to work, yes. And now that almost anything can be imported, this thread is pretty much obsolete unless someone wants to update it and add the new info. (I'll help if that is the case)
