I think it would be a good idea for this level to be like the Bowser levels from SM64. Bowser's Star Reactor was a bit like that but with the gravity physics. Four Hammer Bros. all lined up in a straight pathway. Yeah, that would be a challenge.

I'm fine with Gravigen Extractor having tons of Gravity, but the rest of the Bowser Levels should have little to no gravity.

Gravigen =/= gravity. Plus like Glem said, gravigen only really fits in bowser/jr galaxies. So it NEEDS to be incorporated in somehow because it's part of the story.

We still need a challenge. We could the Hammer Bro defense line like I suggested earlier or something new and different. There could be Thwomps you have to creep under, Whomps that are in your way, and finally, Rhomps that you must run away from. Thwomp face spinning platforms would also be nice if we use them in an innovative way.

Hmmm, maybe a horde battle would be too messy. Perhaps groups of 5 or so enemies blocking staircases, hallways and walkways, "squadrons" of 10 or so enemies waiting in a room, 3 or so Hammer Bros chucking hammers down from adjacent higher walkways, maybe traps with Piranha Plants and stuff like that, Bowser Jr. doors with enemies behind them in one part, Bowser gates near the end, and maybe an army of ~100 enemies split into about 5 groups in a part of the courtyard, which Mario must avoid. And a lot of other enemies scattered around elsewhere.

There should be Bowser flags everywhere. Ooh, wait, maybe a group guards a Bowser flag leading up to another walkway. Less lava, perhaps, but maybe a generator room with Amps and lava, or a lava enemy room filled with the typical Bowser stage enemies with even more emphasis on lava. Replacing any Sling Stars/Launch Stars with flagpoles and cannons would help the Bowser army theme, too.

Glem3's idea of the various NPCs helping Mario could be put in the last section of the level, so Yoshi in the boss fight doesn't look too out of place in a castle.

I hated how most of the Bowser and Bowser Jr. levels were just a bunch of walkways and airships.

But we should also have a castle. No 3D Mario game has truly given us a good 3D representation of the Bowser's castle. Gravity Gauntlet came close, but if we have a linear, non-gravity, 3D castle, it would be great here.

I wish you read the other posts before posting thread.

Mk II will be recolored red, which will make him 100% original. I'm also thinking that we can do some minor edits to the robot so he looks more badass :P

You'll also fight him on an arena that's spinning over lava infested with Magmaaarghs.

If the arena is spinning counter-clockwise, for example, there should be Magmaws moving clockwise.

It's not actually spinning. Its just magmaaarghs moving around and you have to dodge them. The planet itself doesn't move.

Having the arena move (spin) would just throw the player off slightly. Meh.
With all the lava, the boss might be about as difficult as the Daredevil Megahammer.
(falls into lava, loses Yoshi, gets hit by bullet bill, etc.)

Mabye make it so each glass thing is red, so you have to hit each thrice, with the first hit, turning it blue.
