"Here's what basically "Bowser Jr's Trembling Tower" the third boss galaxy of SMG2.5, will be plotted like.
You are HIGH in the sky, the towers are very tall, you can't even see the base of the towers if you look down. It's very rainy and the sky is cloudy, you fly in and land on a wall like structure, this part of the level is 2.5D and you have to navigate moving platforms on the stone walls, you will find Paragoombas along the way, flying upwards and downwards. This is basically the concept of what i'm talking about: Then, after a few planets of the platforming style shown in that video, the last launch star blasts you to one of the Towers, now the spiraling Tower gameplay comes in This part of Super Mario 3D Land is what this section is like, except the towertops and tower spirals have enemies and platforming sections. Once you reach the top of the biggest tower, Bowser Junior faces you in one of his Mechs. (Undecided Which) Enemy list: (Under Construction) Banzai Bills Bob-Ombs Boomerang Bros Bullet Bills Dry Bones Magikoopas Mecha-Koopas Paragoombas Scuttle Bugs Post more ideas below! How about this:
You land on a planet. Its at night time, and its stormy. You defeat a two goombas,find a crate with a coin,and meet the Toad Brigade Captain."I hear that Bowser J.R is working on a weird contraption! Why don't you see what it is!"There is a hidden platform behind the area you start in.On it is a 1-up.The starter planet is similar to the first Boo Mario level in SMG.After talking to the Captain, a launch star appears. It takes you to the 15 floor tower.Each room is square, and the tower is dark blue stone. At the end of each floor is a pipe[covered by the glass thing needing the key], taking you to the next. As you progress, it gets harder, and on floor 15, B.J. is there, with the boss. Floor 1: A crate with a 1-up is in the corner of the room. 2 torches are next to the pipe. 2 goombas are in the room. The key appears. Seems easy. Floor 2: The room has 2 bullet bill shoters on the wall, and a Magi koopa. Defeat the magi koopa, get the key, and go up. Floor 3: A bottomless pit in the center, and 3 hammer bros. There is also a question mark block. The bit is as large as 4 question mark blocks. Get the key and go. Floor 4: 2 boomerang bros are here, and an amp is moving in a circle around the room. In the corner is bill board, saying the rooms will get bigger here. Get to the pipe. Floor 5: The board was right. The rooms are much bigger. And the dark blue stones are now red. There are 5 pumpkin goombas, and a lakitue. At the upper right corner is a crate filled with star bits. The middle has a question mark block. Floor 6: This room is darker than others. It has 3 boos, and at the left bottom corner is a crate with the switch to activate the moving light. Defeat the boos and move on. Floor 7: The ground is the red and blue switch boards. There in checkerd form. 3 goomba generating magi koopas are there. Defeat them, then go to floor 8. It is a potential idea. You only to expand on it for it to be a full design. Luigi#1, you don't need to ask. Just produce a good detailed design (not one sentence for each floor). But if somebody's already designing it, it would be polite to wait. You can still give ideas and suggestions for the level.
Hmm. Starlight, whatcha thinking of? I've always thought of the level as being a series of Stormy Ascent like 2D sections mixed with spiralling staircase climbs in 3D, interspersed with sections with many enemies. The floors could be inside but the stairs are outside like a fire escape. There could also be balconies. Currently, even if you finished 15 floors, that would just be a rather uncreative general plan... What's with all the competition over designs? Shouldn't this hack in general be collaborative?
Why can't you build on each other's ideas instead of shooting them down? anyways, i'm thinking there should be a part outside where the platforms you're on start crumbling due to weak construction or something. |

I discussed a while ago on the IRC the possibility of having Airships on paths moving around the tower for effect. I also think an animated BG similar to Space Storm would fit this galaxy well.
