Hey, first i want to say that my english is very bad!

I know that Kuribo closed his old site, but why does he cancled the development of the editor? I think it would be very cool, if he release a new version with the announced features.

Sorry if im in the wrong section :/

Well, AFAIk, Arisotura stopped working on the SM64ds Editor because little to none people cared about it. :(

I think there is a group who is really interested in the development.

Or SM4DSe, you mean? How could I get in touch with those people? That could be interesting.

You need to keep working. which then displays that you want to improve the sm64ds rom hacks.
I also tried to work with your editor but it crashed really often.

 I'm still trying to make a SM64DS hack, after discovering how the text worked.
Unfortunately, I fail miserable at modeling :(

I will if and only if said group is willing to actively help in coding SM64DSe.

Is there any way I can get in touch with that group?

Make a poll, where people, who are interested in coding SM64DSe can enter the group.
I think that you have to do the first step :/

Then that means that the group doesn't exist, and I have to somehow create it?

I don't think so. I have tried for about one year, and barely anyone cared about SM64DS hacking.

But its sad that you throw your development away and all the time that you spend with coding it. I am sure if you continue your work, and make a small demo or something, automaticly a group will form.

Again, I worked on it for so long, and nothing ever happened.

But the development isn't 'thrown away' like you're saying. There's a repo for SM64DSe's code, it's still open. If you're so interested in it, you can learn C# and get SM64DSe's code to mess with it.

The archive of the old Kuribo64 contain lots of info that may be useful, too.

Edit- I decided to elaborate a bit more on why I don't want to develop SM64DSe anymore for now. The last thing I was working on was the collision issues with the model importer. I kept failing at fixing them, and that, combined with the fact noone cared about SM64DS hacking, ended up smashing my motivation to bits. And now I'm working on different projects, like Whitehole. However, if someone's willing to help with SM64DSe development, I may be tempted to start working on it again. Oh also it'd need to be rewritten in Java for Linux compatibility.

I only tried to wake up your interest... i failed :(

Thank you anyway for your answer!

Well then, too bad. I'm not reopening that failed project just because you say that a dream might come true when during one whole year it has never ever come true.

Sorry that there won't be more releases. In the meantime you can try using the latest release and making stuff with it. It's still quite usable.

I just bumped an ancient thread, I know.

But now that SM64DS hacking is making a comeback, will a new version of SM64DSe be released once Whitehole has reached its primary goals?
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Had you read the other threads, you'd know that yes, there'll be a SM64DSe release after I get Whitehole released.
