It's been 90 days since I last posted. Huh. Recent updates include me officially working part time, so yay me.

I've been wanting to actually post a YouTube video after having my (I think second) account for so long and start getting into Super Mario Paint and other stuff.

Still waiting to hear back from a Chik-Fil-A I interviewed at recently. Good luck on finishing school.

i'm still looking for a job, but i think my family (at least, some of) is starting to see the value in the stuff i'm doing, so they're letting me do that more often, that's fun

noice! I hope you're enjoying it

It's all right. I got super stressed the first few weeks in since it was my first job and I kept feeling like I made mistakes. Anxiety did take a toll on me and I figured maybe my employers noticed and they cut my hours. Sigh. But my anxiety isn't so bad any more and I hope I can get my hours back.

Ohh well you should try I guess. I mean just make content you care about right now. I feel Source Filmmaker rubbish is a good way to get people viewing the videos, but you kinda need an idea what you're doing first, so it's not an easy learning curve. But my Source Filmmaker rubbish was netting me a thousand per month until COVID hit and my sister and I made a new one months ago and that one has net 100,000 views already.

Oh don't worry about it if they don't reply back.

From my experience, it's just weird to me that I tried to submit applications to jobs a few times, never got contacted back, but I decided to call two places about my interest in the job, and we had a phone exchange for the first, and an in-person meetup for the second, and I was accepted pretty quickly at both, first not even requiring my resume, second wasn't even much of an interview.

It's really nice to be validated by your family like that. :) I do think there's a lot of value developing skills needed for a job including confidence, assertiveness, communication and listening skills as well as dealing with anxiety and criticism you'll probably get from the job, but don't feel pressure. I hope your family is super supportive and encouraging to help you get a job. My family was kinda hands off for me and it didn't do well for my self-esteem. It took me to move out with someone else who'd actually dedicate time for me to find a job.

OH and also he and I also laid down for a fresh used car and I'm really happy about the 2016 Ford Focus I've acquired recently. :)

well, i've had jobs before, but the first one i got fired from because i was too slow at making the pizzas (thanks, ADHD, for always absolutely needing every single peperoni to be evenly spaced perfectly) and the second one was Taco Bell but i only stayed for a week because after that i had to move across the country lol. but since then i've been moving a lot and still don't even have a driver's license so i don't have a job currently. but despite me not having any way of getting to work, my family is still pushing me to get a job at like McDonald's or something, somehow? idk it's dumb but whatevs

oh that's the worst when parents pressure you to get a job, as if jobhunting wasn't soulcrushing enough, they gotta push their neurotypical standards on you

Ohh I can relate. I was laid off like three days after my first job and it just so happened that on the previous day I disclosed my ADHD and auditory processing disorder. I think that was discrimination honestly. Anyway, I can kinda relate to ADHD pressuring you to try to be perfect at everything because you're so constantly criticized for everything else, but I'm kinda the type that gives leeway a bit too much and make careless mistakes a lot.

That is bad but I mean supportive parents should assist their kids more into getting jobs. When I meant earlier, they teach their kids about job search (maybe parents do the job search themselves), looking for ADHD friendly jobs, praise their kids for taking the time to apply and show themselves out there, build confidence, help build the resume, encourage alternatives like volunteering to ease in going for the job, and have patience. It's too bad a lot of neurotypicals don't understand the struggles of ADHD though, and I figure mental health disabilities in general because society is just... ugh.

I had to fish goslings and ducklings off the pool over the course of a few weeks ago. It's cute to see them, and I didn't want them to drown otherwise, but come on, stop falling in there.

sometimes in order to see cute things a sacrifice must be made, in this case, having to help them not drown

Oh, they're so adorable. The parents did freak out. Mama mallard just quacked while the Canada geese hissed, but they weren't aggressive. They're probably super scared that they think I was hurting their babies.

Man on the other hand, it just feels like my weekends need to be a slight longer, but I'm not complaining too hard.

Yes, summer is important but, it has rained a lot where I live almost every day like one day yes and another two days no, and that is why I close the school year in May in eighth grade and I go to the ninth

summer is just boring and hot. least favorite season of the year, with spring following.

Arisotura

amusing that.

my least favorite season is Autumn. weather getting colder (cold enough to be annoying) and shitty.

by comparison, Winter is cold but with a chance of snow (although, here, lol). but atleast it's sunnier, somewhat.

Spring is nice, it finally gets warmer and overall nicer. although transition seasons suck because you never know how much to cover yourself.

Summer is nice and sunny and hot. although every damn summer now is a dire reminder of how real global warming is.

heh.

admittedly, one downside of Summer is how short the night is. go to bed at 05:00 and the sun is already rising, which feels weird to me. I would totally trip during the night or whatever if it weren't for that.
