When did he ever say the whole level was based on spammage of enemies? :/
Something like a slightly larger version of those 3 Hammer/Boomerang Bros. clusters in Galaxy Generator. Just a couple enemies blocking the way, nothing more :/

Correct.

Still a stupid idea, having the entire level be based on spammage of enemies with no puzzles or skill needed, that's just rainblarg

Um no, I said Mario will have to go through airships and stuff, then reach this battle. And I think I went a little overboard on the word "spammage." You guys keep thinking it's just like a billion random enemies all in one place. Well no, it isn't. After Bowser Jr. talks in the cutscene, he flees, then Mario, on this huge airship, will have to find these switches and destory them. But before he can do that, more than average, but not a billion, enemies appear. Those enemies guard the switch and Mario needs to kill them all. After destroying switches, stronger enemies appear. And it will soon be to the point that you'll have to face 5 mandibugs or something. It's just waves of strong enemies that Mario will have to defeat to progress.

(I'm new to this site, and i am not a coder or anything like that, just had some ideas that I wanted to share)
How about a secret place, pipe, or hidden luma (i dont remember if those are in smg2) hidden in the level that you have to get to by doing something like the infinite flutter jump glitch, or maybe precise jumps, and the hidden place sends you to one of those 3D levels in super mario sunshine (where you do not have a fludd). Not the one that is already in the game, and in the level you could have a cosmic mario race, (SMS SPOILER) since bowser jr is cosmic mario. Maybe this could be a secret final star. Or maybe it could be a 2D boss ship level from SMB3.

BTW, this hack looks amazing! I saw the video from a year ago and the level design and the visuals were great!

What. Using the infinite flutter technique for a level would suck >_<. It was a glitch, not an actual mechanic.

A lot of enemies would look interesting, but one strategically placed Hammer Bro. can be harder to avoid than a lot of ones bunched together. Trios of enemies guarding ships, perhaps?
Anyway, if somebody comes up with a design for this, it'll have a particularly easy way into the project since, y'know, Fortress of Illusion is rubbish.
Hmm, airship levels are really generic though...A flagship would be interesting.

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train.

Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys.

Oh crap, idea time! Well I was thinking there would be tons of airships each of them getting bigger and cooler as you approach Bowser Jr's giant epic looking airship. Then, at his airship, which could be a little more high tech, would be a gauntlet of enemies all leading up to an awesome Bowser Jr. boss battle on top of the airship. Whew.

Nice bump, but I don't see this getting any use other than in Final Frontier

I dunno, do we even need more airships? They've been used to death in the Mario series, to the point where they seem entirely forgettable. The concept is certainly cool, but it's just been used so much that it's practically become a common staple...a boring one.

I personally love the airship levels in 3D Mario games (discluding 3D Land), but the athletic levels always seem the same in New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 3D Land, and other games.
