Holy shit I did that already. :(

Oh, for f***s sake, read this:

The objects are all of the things in the galaxy, like a new windmill might be called, windmillnew.ARC in the code, and if a galaxy used it and it wasn't in your SD/USB drive, the game could not load it!
so the objectdata is very important.

This is why the objectdata is important so, there should be a folder in each level set and there should be a folder named ObjectData in the Ricco Harbor folder.

Ok?

Silly filly, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. But you're better than /some/ other people. Let me explain in depth.

ObjectData is where all the object files are stored, each arc is just that, an archive. It usually has a model file (.bdl) and collision file (.kcl and .pa), if it's a planet. If the planet was custom imported, you would also need some extra file, namely PlanetMapDataTable.arc or ProductMapObjDataTable.arc. The reason a map wouldn't work is because said planet files are missing. Of course, the object name in a map may not always be the object file, case in point powerups in which the file is PowerUp___.arc and the object name is MorphItemNeo___.

StageData is what deals with all the galaxies and object placement, it's what places the objects and causes them to load and etc. stageData and ObjectData should be in the same root folder.
If you havr any more questions just post here.

I would think it would be obvious since in the name it says planet and in my explanation I specifically say where planet files go xD
How about you download/rip the SMG2 ISO and look at the filesystem before you hack it any more xD

No what I mean is what do I do with the YoshiCaughtPlanet file? What do I do with it? where does it go? Do I have to rename it?

Just put it in ObjectData so that whitehole can read it, still simple. Same place you put the map, but in said objectdata folder.

Do you mean the folder inside "smg2.5" or inside "StageData"
