And I don't get you. SM3DW took most inspiration from SMB2 (Which is over 10 years old) for example, so what do you mean?

If you mean the GAMEPLAY, then DUH of course they're going to take inspiration from the game that came before if said game was successful (and SM3DL, MK7 and Brawl were all great games). Besides do you really want Nintendo to change the core gameplay of the 3D Mario games, the Mario Kart series or the SSB series (whose amazing signature gameplay is practically the only reason people buy those games these days)? :P

Aaaaanyway this is the SM3DW thread and I understand that you really hate how it's like SM3DL, but the game is just going to be that way and besides that type of gameplay fits best with a 4-player 3D Platformer game (Playing a SMG game with 4 players would be chaos), and it's already been revealed that Nintendo's goal with the next 3D Mario game (Which is SM3DL) was to have 4-Player Co-op. ;)

I agree. We have seen like, what? Ten levels altogether in the trailer? To be honest, I find it original. There is a dessert desert level with a building resembling the Taj Mahal and with Stingbies. That is different from Layer-Cake Desert.

Besides, I am sure Super Mario 3D World will be a fun game. The open-ended 3D Mario game that is Super Mario Sunshine 2, a Super Mario 64-like game, or something completely innovative and different may come put on the Wii U.

Nintendo did state that the reason why made this game on Wii U was to attract a larger audience. I think Nintendo is just trying to recover first then they give us the real deal.

Mr. Miyamoto said Nintendo will "Explore the Galaxy Series". I hope they do not make Super Mario Galaxy 3 because I believe it will be milking the SMG series. Super Mario Sunshine has a lot of unused and removed content plus all the areas for improvement like having Blue Coins act like in SM64 rather than collecting 10 for a Shine Sprite. So I would like a Super Mario Sunshine 2 instead of SMG3 or SM3DL3.

But for now, let's look forward to SM3DW's potential.

It is good to see that Nintendo has created some more hype for this game. November 22 is a Friday and usually games like that come out in Sundays.

I wish Nintendo would shown a new trailer though. I could not find anything about the supposed "September trailer".
