So... the Mariowiki has made a good summary of the characters relating to their strengths and weaknesses.
Mario - Strength: None (All-around) - Weakness: None (All-around) Luigi - Strength: Highest Jump - Weakness: Poor Traction Peach - Strength: Can Float in midair - Weakness: Runs slow Toad - Strength: Fastest Running Speed - Weakness: Lowest Jump & Fastest Falling Speed Rosalina - Strength: Spin - Weakness: Cannot Sprint/Dash Captain Toad/Toad Brigade Leader - Strength: None - Weakness: Cannot Jump Also NOTE that I think of the "hardcore" players as people who are actually aiming for 100% completion and that are skilled at 3D Platformers. Mario is for everyone IMO, since both Hardcore and more casual gamers can use him since he offers the most classic 3D Mario experience. Luigi is probably going to be used by the more skilled players since besides Toad he's the best one for Speedruns and pros can surely abuse his high jump (while not being set off by his "weakness", at least if they played using him in Galaxy before) So... yeah. Peach is obviously for Toad was basically designed to be the least casual-friendly of all characters and he definitely looks like he will be the hardest to use. He will probably only ever get used by Speedrunners, people who want a challenge (including me) and people with a weird Toad fetish. Rosalina is also a mix. She basically makes the gameplay into SMG gameplay, since in SMG Mario couldn't really "dash"/sprint but he compensated with the spin. I'm sure that everyone who's ever played Galaxy will be mostly using her everytime they play just to replicate the Galaxy experience (including me). Capt. Toad is the worst character, but he's only used in his own special levels so everyone who's aiming for 100% (or even 75%) will use him at some point anyway. So what do you think about the characters? So... yeah like previously said IGN's official review is now up and they gave it 9.6. GameXplain also gave it a 4,5/5. It is also one of the 5 games nominated for the "Game of the Year" Spike award (along with GTA V, The Last of US, Bioshock and some other game. Obviously GTAV will win but with some luck 3D World will get third place maximum, since The Last of Us will obviously get second place if not first).
This is looking promising!
Also WHYTHEFUCK won't this release on the same date everywhere? I mean just fucking why. It's their most anticipated Wii U game besides SSB4! Now I gotta wait a whole extra week before I get it (and by then I'll probably have spoiled myself to all the bosses, bonus levels and cool stuff that's in the game, and I'm REALLY trying to avoid major spoilers such as that). The thing I'm most excited about is actually how the final boss will be. EVERY 3D Mario has had a great final boss (besides Sunshine, even though Sunshine had the most original battle by far). Even 3D Land had a great final boss (possibly the best so far since unlike the other final bosses besides Sunshine's IT WASN'T A SLIGHTLY HARDER REHASH OF A BOSS BATTLE YOU'VE ALREADY DONE TWICE BEFORE and unlike Sunshine the battle had great music and wasn't glitchy as fuck!!!  )____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Tons of times I've fallen and lost a life either because: 1: I Fell through a small crack 1/3 of Mario's size 2: I just fall through the stone floor for NO REASON AT ALL. Sure it doesn't ALWAYS happen but it does happen and it's annoying

Don't forget that glitchy final boss comes after the level that is mario equivalent of hell.

MarioMaster720, Rosalina can actually run, she is just slower than the other characters. Nonetheless, it is still cool that Rosalina is a playable character and she had the Star Spin.
Super Mario 3D World comes out in the US in less than two days and it is already out in Japan. The Japanese walkthroughs will start soon. Super Mario 3D World has received positive reviews as demostrated by IGN's review, which was once leaked but is now officially released. The Final Bowser Battle is said to be innovative, so I will not spoil myself on that until I reach the Final Boss Fight. I am looking forward to playing Super Mario 3D World this Friday.
