I chose that it will be awesome because I am really hyped for it. Of course, it won't top SMG1&2, but it will be an awesome game for others, such as me.

I initially thought very disappointing, but now i change it to somewhat. This is because it does look like a good game, but my expectations got smashed to pieces. This kinda feels like the Wind Waker reaction to me.

. To me, "awesome" here means "great" and "masterpiece" here means "incredibly awesome".

Yeah. I would only qualify a few games I've played as "masterpiece". A game that plays it safe just doesn't earn a "masterpiece" rating IMO.

Yeah. I can say that some Mario games are better than others. Not just do to the controls, but do to the risk factor. I really like it when Mario tries something fresh and exciting. Despite Multiplayer added to SM3DW, I still think it plays it way too safe lol.

^Yes. I also feel like this could potentially be a "transition" game for the next 3D Mario. Nintendo is late with all 3 of their main franchises - 3D Mario, Smash Bros, and Zelda on the Wii U. I honestly don't know what the future holds, but I am willing to take a risk and bet that they have a true 3D Mario up their sleeves.

In fact, just before I watched the direct, I couldn't help but get the image of 3d land out of my head. It was more a sidethought, but I know it was there.
