Hey gais, MrRean here, with my newest custom level; Bianco Hills!

I've been working on this for a while, and so here it is, although there are a couple of things to note.
-Trees Have No Collision
-Deep Water makes you walk underwater

That's about all to notice about this.

:NO: Intro Cameras
:YES: Camera Fixes
:YES: More Piantas
:YES: Places that were "empty", shall have more items and decorations
:NO: Have better textured windmills
:YES: Better Item placements
:YES: No enemy randomness
:YES: 1/2 of the purple coins will be replaced in new places; old places are just blarg
:NO: Collision for trees
:YES: Extra Stars for another "secret" mission
:YES: Custom map planet model (Sorta. Needs to be imported, freezing problem needs to be solved.)
:YES: Water Fixed, goes over a small bit after first stream jump
:YES: Add Enemies near proper places
:NO: Add more paths
:YES: Add more underwater enemies, it's a bit empty.
:YES: Import the rest of the SMS Objects
:YES: Fix Collision issues
:YES: Get the original BiancoSky model "air" section removed.
:NO: Get the trailer for v2 out!

Alright, I like to review levels, so here's your full review!

-Contains Spoilers-


Impressions:
Okay, so when I got to the level, I was infatuated with so much nostalgia, and to see the starbits flowing from the river was just genius level design, but after I got across the bridge, it started to lose charm and kind of felt empty. The once-plentiful Piantas are now a rare sight to be seen, of course a few Super Mario Galaxy elements were there to fill in, but not enough, I found myself walking through large portions of emptiness at times. Most of the star chips are well hidden, but I saw a few missed opportunities, like having a star chip in front of the Hillside Cave anybody? Plus, what ever happened to exploring the big pond at the end of the hills? I thought I saw that in one of Rean's streams, oh well. Anyways, it's pretty straightforward after you collect them all, a Launch Star appears and launches you to the star.

The purple coin mission was alright, but it got pretty boring sometimes. That's really all I have to say about it.

Presentation:
It looks fantastic at first, but then you start to see sloppiness (like enemies falling off cliffs) and a strong feeling of being incomplete when you see the large spaces of nothing.

Gameplay:
It was fun to play, and some of the things to do reminded me of the original, but it also had the shame share of kind of being boring.

Overall Score:
7.0 out of 10

It was good, but not as good as I thought it would be. It also feels incomplete after the river.

If this review sounds biased or something like that, you don't have to consider it, but this is what I THINK.

Since I can't load the levels in dolhpin, have you made that trailer yet because it looked great in that picture you showed :P

I was also thinking about making a SMG2 custom level this summer featuring Bianco Hills. What a coincidence! I'll play it soon and tell you what I think.

So, I just played it, and to be honest...I was disappointed. The original Bianco Hills was an amazing place, you could feel the energy radiating from the piantas. The level you made, however, was empty...Really empty. There were a few Piantas, a random location for the Bee Mushroom, and random enemies that could easily be defeated. You could've added a few decorations around as well.

Yeah I really agree with Polari, this level seemed a bit rushed and it felt really empty. You should add more Piantas next time for a better atmosphere.

I liked this level a lot though one of your objects is behind the boundary wall, making it impossible to obtain. I'm not gonna say what it is because of spoilers. I had to change the position of it in Whitehole (which ironically is my very first modification to this game)

Ok guys, this level was a bit tooooo rushed. So I'm going to continue on the level, and make a ton of bugfixes.

nice checklist Rean, and wow the progress is going fast! I can't wait for you to finish the v2 completely so we can all play it :3

Also try adding piantas at every place where there were piantas in SMS (and maybe even have them reference SMS with their dialogue) :3 If it still will feel too empty, try doing something like putting Toads on every place where there were Nokis in SMS (but there weren't really many of them).

Oooh, and maybe the Toad Brigade could make an appearance too (Since y'know they were in SMS too) :3

And ooh maybe you could..
...

Err maybe I got a bit too excited there, but anyway if you think you can do it, have time for it and want to do it yourself then feel free to follow some of these suggestions :3
