Although I am wondering how much they buffed his aura... He probably still can't touch you if he's at low % though. I never found fighting Lucario to be particularly fun or stressful though.

By the way I don't think the 3DS version will be limited... My friend brought up some great points.


- Considering the 3DS max file size is almost as big as the maxinum for a Wii game. As long as Sakurai fills as much as he can into both the Wii U and the 3DS games there will be tons to look forward to. The biggest a 3DS game can go is 8 Gigabytes. The largest a Wii game is 8.5 GB.

- Brawl's filesize was 7.92 Gigabytes. Meaning it could just barely squeeze right into a 3DS cartridge. But what this should mean, is that the 3DS version could still have quite a bit of content still. And remember that it was the SSE and Music that filled up most of the space. And there being news of no such mode like the SSE being in SSB4, there should be plenty of room. Imagine Brawl without the inhibitor of the SSE and I imagine some compressed Music files to fit a handheld, and you could possibly have more characters in the roster along with more content.

- Now moving on over to the Wii U version. It has 25 GB of space. You could fit Brawl 3 times over then. Meaning we could be in for alot in the Wii U version. So now I think about it, it's quite plausible for both versions to still have 40 characters or more while not trespassing on things regarding the roster. The Wii U would obviously have the majority of the content. 25 GB is alot especially regarding Smash filesize history. It's 25x the size of Melee, and 3x the size of Brawl. That alone should be very interesting down the road.

You've got it wrong, this whole Lucario is back thing is making the chances of mewtwo coming back less ;-;, Sakurai won't have more characters, he'll simply cut characters. Why? Because he for some reason doesn't like taking use of Wii U's extra power.


That doesn't mean it at all. Who says Mewtwo and Lucario can't be together (they can just replace the Pokemon Trainer with Mewtwo). NOTE: The following rant is targeted at fanboys in general. I'm not referring to SSL (even though I quoted his post above)

People forget that unlike people like Dr. Mario, Pichu, Young/Toon Link and the like, Lucario IS NOT a clone of Mewtwo. Their movesets are completely different. All they have similar is the neutral B (Shadow Ball/Aura Sphere) and a similiar but still different Forward Smash. THAT IS ALL! (and the fact that they are from the same franchise)

Mewtwo has literally no relation to Mewtwo. Its like saying that R.O.B replaced Dr. Mario in Brawl and that Lucas replaced Pichu -_-

And I still don't understand why people want Mewtwo. He looks cool, but that's about it. He SUCKED in Melee and has multiple times been considered the worst character in the game (even worse than PICHU). I just started playing Melee again and I was incredibly disappointed with Mewtwo. The only thing he's got are great throws, great recovery and great projectile. EVERYTHING else is bad. His down smash is the worst in the game, he is easy as fuck to juggle, he is light and yet tall (the worst combination), his side-B is the worst reflector in the game (and generally useless) and while Disable can be used its really situational and will almost never work well on any people with any sort of skills. Oh, and his aerial attack suck. Hard (only remotely useful one is his forward air, which is just a worse version of well EVERYONE else's forward airs)

Lucario however was a great character, and is considered very high-tier. He has a unique gimmick that is useful, he actually has usable Aerials (Mewtwo gets my vote for worst Melee Aerials HANDS DOWN), good recovery (although Mewtwo had slightly better), good weight/height, usable finishers and all his Specials are useful except maybe for Double Team (which is still better than Confusion).

In short, the people who think that Lucario instantly means No Mewtwo, that Lucario is a clone of Mewtwo and that Mewtwo is superior character can go F*** THEMSELVES HARD!

Sorry for this rant but this is the hard truth that people have to understand and I get pissed off when casuals attack a very unique and good character just because they like a hardly-usable, worse one better.

I've tried both characters, and I gotta say, I prefer mewtwo. Although he does have some major drawbacks (being very light, offensively weak, and having low range attacks), he has something that most characters have a really tough time dealing with - teleportation. Mewtwo can easily fool opponents, especially in Project M, where he can attack after teleporting. This makes Mewtwo a god in the hands of an experienced player, as combo potential increases tenfold. Lucario is just meh in my opinion.

Also you don't understand. I don't call people who like Mewtwo more for "fanboys". I call the people who HATE Lucario just because they like Mewtwo better (and that being the sole reason), and people who think Lucario is a clone of Mewtwo fanboys.

After the Lucario SSB4 announcement, Now the internet is full of people saying stuff like "Fuck you Sakurai!", "Mewtwo is win! Lucario is the WORST", "Why the f*** would you bring back the retarded clone Lucario?", "Mewtwo is soo much better", "Major disappointment, Sakurai", "Sakurai Hates us!" and "I have lost interest in SSB4 now".

And yes those were all ACTUAL QUOTES from places like Miiverse, Smash/Nintendo forums and fanpages. There are TONS of posts like those everywhere and it makes me so pissed off since those people's only reason for hating Lucario is "Because Mewtwo is better". Just because you like something more than anything else doesn't mean that you have to HATE everything else. That's like saying "My favourite Candy was sold out at a store. Now I instantly hate all other candy because they are replacing my favourite".

Those people are all blinded by Nostalgia and fanboy rage, and that's a fact. I'm not saying that you're suddenly not allowed to hate Lucario and love Mewtwo, but if you don't have a REASON to do that other than shit lies like "Lucario is a clone", "Mewtwo came first!" then you are a fanboy, and you just have to accept it.

Do you understand what I meant now? :)

This sums it up exactly. Lucario isnt a clone of mewtwo (just because they share a similarly neutral B attack doesnt make it a clone :P)
They can sure bring mewtwo back and make it to suck less.
Project M mewtwo is really fun to play around, and it isnt the weak character it used to be in melee.

But yes, pretty much genwunners are cryng because no mewtwo :>

I don't see your point considering I said the exact same thing as he, but first (read my first post again. I say very clearly "Lucario is not a clone of Mewtwo", and the point with my first post is that people who think he is are fanboys) -_-

So he appears to be a fully Physical fighter with horrible aerial ability...

However on ground he looks like Captain Falcon on Steroids! O_o
He can run insanely fast, his moves appear to combo into each other easily and they look very powerful.

He also has a special mechanic that turns his normal B attack into a OHKO, and it appears to look REALLY broken. Now IDK how you activate that, but I assume that it's one of these 3.
1: It requires charging like Flare Blade
2: It requires you to have taken lots of damage like Aura (highly unlikely since he was at 24% Percentage when he used it in the Trailer)
3: It requires you to have dodged and/or countered some attacks in a row (this also sounds unlikely, but this is how his Star Punch works in the Punch Out games)..

I'm starting to worry that he might replace Falcon (I hope he doesn't. NOTHING can replace the Falcooon PUUUUUUUNCH!)

I think being hyper offensive is the way to fill it up, and I think it'll be somewhat broken, but to be fair, his recovery seems awful and air speed (and aerials) seems bad. I don't think the developers would make it THAT broken. Plus it's not like Wario's fart where he can just camp away to get a powerful move lol

Also, now that I think about it, Wii Fit Trainer vs. Little Mac would be interesting to see... ;p

I didn't. With the Super Smash Bros. boxing stage being confirmed from the very start, I had a feeling that we wouldn't see him in the game. But then when he actually gets revealed, BAM. IT WAS A PUNCH-OUT STAGE ALL ALONG!!! Sakurai, you troll!


I actually don't think it's a Punch-Out Stage, I think it's something original to smash, why?



Holy crap nevermind, apparently they removed all the smash icons in favor of Punch-Out icons o.o

Weakness to Projectlines isnt really a weakness when you realize that this guy is one of the fastest characters in the game and his OHKO gives him Super Armor (no flinching)...

Meta Knight doesn't have any projectlies of his own either, and yet he's the best character in Brawl
