Well first of all, please post pictures so everyone can see.

As for the model...the tops of the mushrooms don't really look like tops of mushrooms, they just look like compressed spheres. The log is literally just a cylinder (or is it just not finished yet?) I'm fairly sure the mushrooms are supposed to be a lot taller than that. And like jess said, everything is pretty high-poly when it probably doesn't need to be.

I'll fix the model and try to make it lower-poly, but I'm basing it on HodgePodgeNine's art and the first few mushrooms are lower to the ground. Also, the log needs to be right on top of the poison swamp and I'm considering Mario's jumping ability. I'll make the Throwback Falling Platforms form stairs so Mario can get higher and the later mushrooms can also be higher.

Good?

EDIT: Is this good for a lower-to-the-ground mushroom (except shading)?

The mushrooms in this galaxy are supposed to look similar to the giant mushrooms in Mushroom Gorge of MKWii. That way they act as good platforms while also not being completely flat on top.

And my point about the log is that as it looks now, it'll look like a plain cylinder, not an actual log.

The mushrooms do indeed need to be made a bit flatter. Also, the white spots right now are decagons. They would look better if they were textured circles as jess064 said.

But you are doing good so far with the modeling.

1. Please fix your spelling.
2. They're red and green only and besides, they're pretty easy to replicate.

(Now people can't complain that my log is a cylinder. Haha! :D)

I'll test the model on Friday and give you the so-far .obj, .mtl, textures, and .yaz0'd .arc.

Ah, that's looking better. The dots on the mushroom should vary in size a lot more and also be randomly placed, not uniformly distributed like they are now. But I like the log o,o

spelling? I'm not american or English, that means that some people who don't have English as mother language can make mistakes in the spelling. don't try too say that everyone have to speak or write English perfectly, that makes you look stupid

I like this model but I also feel that it might be a tad low-poly. It may look better in-game, though, as I've been fooled before by how something looks in Blender. It's a great model, though!

Also, thank you for appreciating the model. You're probably fooled again because remember:
1. Shading doesn't show up on the Wii
2. I cleanly added vertex colors that will show up on the Wii.

Nice logs. They could be used in a few places actually.
The mushroom isn't bad, but yeah, maybe a bit less symmetrical? :P
Judging from the pitifully small amount of knowledge I have about Blender, it shouldn't be that hard to distort the mushrooms, right? It'd be nice to have slightly different models instead of one duplicated model.

Great work! :)

Mushroom Gorge mushrooms were symmetrical in shape, but not in texture. The shape will have to stay, but the texture will be replaced (which is not so hard or time-consuming to do either).

Notes:
1. Falling platforms were added because they are necessary to reach a higher mushroom and because they will be in the galaxy anyway.
2. I understand that the blue mushroom collision is glitchy (why not the brown one too? :O), but I'm saving collision fixing for last.
3. Don't complain about the inanimate poison swamp.
4. Size feedback or model gets 1.5 times bigger in each dimension.

I'm assuming tons of tall mushrooms'll be added around the edges, right? (as background scenery)
Perhaps some smaller mushrooms could be sticking out the sides of the stems? It'd make the stems look more natural (instead of looking like a stick)
Anyway, that's pretty good. Though I can't really tell the size if there's no Mario model to compare it to. (is there?)

They're flat, textured the same as the top, and unnecessary to look at.

No. You'll need to learn the .brk format for that. The best 2 alternatives I can come up with:

1. White mushrooms fall SUPER FAST when you step on them.

2. White mushrooms are not solid.

uhh, what. WTF are you talking about? Just use a switch to spawn it in and out. I think you've been obsessing over the MSBF and other file formats too much, it's starting to go to your head.
