And to answer your question: Nothing would happen unless SMG3 would have something which we planned to feature too. (For example if SMG3 and SMG2.5 would have some identical galaxy names we would have to change them).

I don't see what it would matter (it would be like the Mega Man 10/Unlimited situation. There was a guy who was making a fan Megaman game and he called it Mega Man 10. But then suddenly Capcom released their own Mega Man 10 and thus the guy had to change the name of his game to Mega Man Unlimited. He's still working on the game still. Nothing else changed) :P
