Nice! It has that 'ancient 3D game' feel, too, all without looking shitty :)

Thanks. It's not shown in the screenshot but the glass should be translucent so should look even better in the actual game.

Will you also do the other nozzles?

Probably not but I haven't decided yet. If I were to have multiple nozzles I would probably add each nozzle as a bone to Mario's model but with an initial scale of zero so it wasn't visible and then trigger an animation to switch the scale to 1 when changing nozzles. I believe it should be possible though I've tried something similar in the past with poor results.

Cool! I can't wait to put this hack on my R4 card when it's done, and it'll be extremely awesome if you get FLUDD working! :D

How looks Mario with F.L.U.D.D.?

Moreover Bianco Hills seems very bare without palm trees or Pianta's ...

Forgot that Mario's model doesn't allow translucency so the water container has to be opaque.

There'll be both.

I still think its the best option to use a 2d version of fludd which was posted earlier. I am pretty sure nobody would give something about it, if just only fludd was in the game.

On the standard NDS resolution, you can barely say whether some of the FLUDD parts are 3D or just flat polygons. So I would recommend to make some parts just a flat face.

I still want it looking as good as I can though. I'll see how far I can push it with a fully 3D model first.

I've been looking further at the animation code and it seems it should be possible to add multiple nozzles without issues. The issues I'd encountered previously were due to the game ignoring the value in the header of the BCA file which specifies how many bones are to be animated and so instead it just reads random data as animation values if the no. of bones in BMD > no. of bones in BCA. I could just point it instead to some byte array with values of scale 1 or 0 depending on the nozzle, meaning I wouldn't have to touch any BCA files to get it to work.

Does BMD have the 'model visibility animation' support, like nsbmd? (It can make parts of the model appear and disappear).

No, BMD only supports BCA and BTP, derived from ICA (Intermediate Character Animation) and ITP (Intermediate Texture Pattern) formats.

Delfino Plaza also looks quite empty it out in the video that you had posted earlier on YouTube. Where are the Pianta and Toads? Where are the market stalls run by the Pianta's?

The videos were never meant to show finished levels, just the imported models. Also, there won't be market stalls due to size/complexity limitations on the level model.

Is there a chance we could see some of the updated models in a trailer when you come closer to finishing the hack?

I'll only be releasing a trailer when I'm releasing the hack which is unfortunately still a long time away. I'll be posting videos in between showing notable progress eg. the Sandbird and Petey Piranha shown recently so you'll get glimpses in videos like that but I don't want to give everything away.

Ah, alright. I'll still be looking forward to seeing those as well!
