No. The next xbox is supposed to use either windows 8 or a port of windows 8. It has been almost confirmed. Since the console should come out this year, and windows 9 wont make it till 2015 at the least

Can an XBox 360 even run Windows 8?

I don't think so, but the interface is very similar.

LOL sure. Of course. You own a copy of windows. I dont see you liking cod. Cod is just a game, (getting worse every release). Microsoft is not afiliated to cod in any way. (just a small contract, but doesnt matter).
Microsoft is xbox, xbox doesnt only sell cod. There are so many other games. And why would you say xbox when cod is on ps3, pc and even wii u!

Well then, what DOES xbox sell? Battlefield 3? Omg, what a huge difference. O.o

Not everyone I assure. :P

Also the thread is getting kinda offtopic.

As for Windows 8, I want to try it soon, to see if its true all the things they say about it...

I do not think I will upgrade to Windows 8. I still prefer XP.

[Ninja'd TWO times! WTF!]

I don't want it to, I shouldn't be shunned by Microsoft because i'm a Nintendo guy and not a Call of Duty Microsoft fanboy.

I hope it'll be a prettier version of Windows 8. That's all I want.

I know, I should be like that, but I'm aesthetically neurotic.

I prefer Windows 8, it's fast! :O

Windows xp is slow as hell. It really sucks!

It is fast, but it's user interface is terrible.

Well, I guess we all have our opinions. But I still don't like it, and I really don't know why Microsoft took out the Start Menu. There was no reason to do that.

Tablets. They oriented the OS towards touch devices more than PCs.

Which is a problem, considering that it's still being shipped on desktop PCs, many of which do not have touchscreens. Microsoft made a very bad business move, trying to force the interface onto every device, even ones that didn't work with it.

There are several third-party apps that bring back the Start Menu, czech out this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Start_Menu_replacements_for_Windows_8

I think the best-looking of the bunch is Start8 here: http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/ but it costs money. The free ones aren't as faithful, it seems.
