ah god I wont bother arguing with the many people here who dislike the game, but at least for a 3D Land sequel, this looks GOOD. I mean it also has a few SMG references and elements like Green Stars and the Toad Brigade (WOOT!) 
And like Nintendo said the whole reason they didn't make a sequel to galaxy is 
Besides if you really wanna play co-op SMG then wait for MrBean and Chadderz to finish their SMG2 Multiplayer hack

The fact that SM3DW has a [somewhat] simple engine that can support multiplayer is actually an acconplishment for Nintendo in the 3D Mario series. They have now accomplished what they originally wanted to do with SM64DS.
Also remember that many people were talking about the possibility of a 3D Land sequel. Like MM720 said, this game dies in fact look great for a 3D Land. I would rather have two Galaxys and two 3D Lands rather than three Galaxys and one 3D Land. Many people don't get that this game was based on the concept of MULTIPLAYER. all the other 3D Marios were singly player only (Co-Star Luma doesn't count, since you're not technically "Playing", just helping).
This game is not supposed to be like the others, and I bet you that a SMG game with 4 players would be crappy. I'm only sad because I have nobody to play it with, but if I had, I GUARANTEE you that I'd have more fun with 3D World than with a eventual single player SMS2 or SMG3. This game is just a testing one for implementing Multiplayer in a 3D Mario game. if people would actually be way more optimistic and accept the truth and Nintendo's fair reason for releasing this game, then maybe in the future they may actually create a SMG3 or open world 3D Mario WITH 4 Players

Maybe, if we're lucky, they will implement an online multiplayer system similar to Dark Moon. But that would be hard... because this multiplayer would be the main game, not just an extra mode. ____________________

I understand. A new villain would be nice, but I still think Bowser should be behind it all, maybe have a plot twist in a Mario game? SMS ALMOST had one (with Bowser Jr). ____________________

Posted by HolyRomanEmperorTatan Well since Peach is playable in the story mode, that means that she won't get kidnapped, which then again means that.... this is actually one of the few main series games where Peach doesn't get kidnapped (unless they pretend that Peach being playable isnt canon and they pull a Double SMG Luigi on us again. If they do that then even I will finally aknowledge that Nintendo has run out of ideas )
As for new villains I have no idea who. It would either have to be Wart (ohgodno!) or a brand new person. anyway I doubt they're gonna introduce new characters and complicated plots. This isn't a RPG. Aahhh! I still can't remember what I wanted ti say in my previous post!
Anyway, it is possible that Bowser has a henchman or general that is the main villain of the game. As for Daisy, I too seriously doubt that.
