I really enjoy the Wii U. NSMBU makes nice use of the GamePad. It is fun to use the GamePad to play NSMBU, especially with the addition of the GamePad's screen. And yeah, the 3DS is pretty great too.

the Wii U is an extremely good console, but it's sort of in the same situation as the 3DS was when it was first released (as it doesn't really have too many great 1st party games yet and is generally lacking in software), but trust me when the New Zelda, new 3D Mario, New Super Smash Bros gets released and when the Wii U receives enough updates people will finally recognize it for the great console it is (Just like with the 3DS. At first many people thought it was a fail and that it would stand no chance against the other next-gen handhelds, but now it's the best handheld gaming device ever created)

I know it's weird, but most of them I got myself. It's a collecting thing. My first console was the Wii, and my dad had a PS1. So I guess those are both #1.

Yes, I have a Mac with Parallels (counts as a PC), but I didn't list it because it's not a console.

I got the Sega Genesis at a used game store for about $4.99, and the PS1 was free. (found it in a Guatemalan trash can, long story) And I think I got the PS2 used for pretty cheap. Can't remember exactly, though.

Hm, for my favorite console, I like the Wii for its feature (playing GC games and VC is cool), but I love the Gamecube's gaming library better. =P

My favorite handheld is the DS Lite.
