Hello fellow forumers. I have modded smg2 in the past using whitehole and everything worked just fine. I got a new computer and installed all the nesscarry utilities to start hacking. It seems to be working fine, until when I tried placing down an object, I got an error that says "Failed to load object database!" Thank you for reading, hope to fix this error.

Never mind! I found out the whitehole I downloaded was outdated and did not work!

Do you know what version you were using before downloading the one that worked? As well as the version of the one that worked, because I'm having the same problem right now with 1.6

If it says "Failed to load object database" and you're using 1.6, then my guess is that you're missing the objectdb.xml document. It should been there when you unpackaged Whitehole 1.6, but if for some reason it didn't appear, you can just download it here: https://kuribo64.net/objectdb/smg.php?game=2

When you download it, place it in the same folder where Whitehole is and it should work.

Yeah that fixed it. Weird how it wasn't in the zip file I downloaded but whatever.

Glad I could help :)

This actually happened to me too, that's the only reason I knew how to fix it.
Maybe it isn't supposed to be a part of the zip package, I could be wrong.

Have you tried reinstalling or downloading a different version? (I also think you bumped a 3 year old thread but idk)
