I have never played PM:SS. The jungle level(s) in that game have trees and such that you csn climb?

This galaxy looks like it might have enough ideas already. I mean, it is a foggy bog and we all kbow what it would look like :P.


Edit: \/ Ah, I see. That screnahot prfectky caprures the feel of Foggy Bog, just needs more fog.

A planet that base off Somnom Woods(a place in MLDT)?
That place just wonderful!
There also have electronic bog & fan plants!

An idea: When player reach a windy place, fog gets thinner. (Slimy Spring's fog)

Well, that may not be possible...


All right then,here is a little idea for this galaxy:

This galaxy is require Luigi to get the star.(foggy effect start when enter the leve)

Starring planet: A moon planet (from Deep Dark) covered by bog. Luigi need to use long jump + spin to reach the launch star.(Mario can't)

A valley theme planet? The pillars are similar to the one in Fluffy Bluff Galaxy. But the top is flat, and is connect to some other pillars.
The bottom is mostly covered by water surface bog.(Player can walk on that water surface, but now it's above the bog.)And player need to ride the leaf raft(from Starshine Beach) to searching around. Cloud Flower is requrie to reach the top of the pillar.(Wall Jump + Spin, and do it again)

WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER.
DON'T LET THE ARGUMENTS HAPPEN.

Your MAIN idea?

Interesting, would leaf rafts work on Poisonous Swamp collision, I wonder?

If not then toxic terror is fucked as well since the entire first planet is that...But It might, clipping could always mess stuff up, which is why we put collision for it to glide upon JUST higher than the poison so it doesn't clip but not enough to be noticeable.

Leaf Raft still work on the water which player can walk on, not swimming.(If it's above the normal ground.)
But this time it's above the Poisonous Swamp collision.

Looking back at this design it looks like Thwomp Swamp Galaxy won't be that similar to Foggy Bog or Toxic terror after all.

Talking on the IRC about pitching Thwomp Swamp's ideas to this galaxy, something really cool I thought of would be using ice mario to cross a swamp that otherwise would be toxic and kill you. With complications of course, this is world 7 :P

Two planet for zee galaxy?

A valley level(which like the place from MP9 in Time Attack - First Area), with fan plant(similar to the one in Somnom Woods) and Cloud Flower.

And a large labyrinth planet(watch above). Player needs to seek the Sliver Stars. After all, fog & bog will gone.

Will we still be using my river rapids idea? I mean, I know it's a bog, but I guess there could be a rushing river. We don't need to incorporate thwomps, of course, but we could still have those hanging spiders that you suggested. The fog could add a tad bit of difficulty as it would make it harder to see hanging spiders off in the distance.

Personally, I'd like to stick with the thwomps, but I see how they could cause complications. I'd also like to pitch the idea of having planet 1 of Foggy Bog being peaceful and tranquil, with no enemies to be found and lots of coins and star bits to stock up on. When the player uses the launch star, they're flung into the foggy, deadly depths of Foggy Bog. A rather drastic change of tone, but I think that it would work pretty well. Planet 2 could involve some basic platforming and enemy battling (flipbugs, jumping spiders, mandibigs) before entering the river rapids section.
