I was wondering if I could re-create bosses like megaleg and tarantox in SMG2. Could I port their objects, camera settings, animations, and other movement option things?

Yea this is a bit much.

Nope. Not for now.

This would basically require editing the source code of the game.

If you want to add custom bosses, you should probably look into NSMBW hacking. SMG1 and SMG2 are very hard to hack.

That OR you could fake it.

That's interesting.

I think faking Kamella would be possible, actually.

How would that come to be? Could you give us a possible suggestion?

Well, Kamella wouldn't be animated. But we can import the model from SMG1 as a Moving MapPart. Then, we can have her shoot... Something. I dunno. (Maybe Attach some Electric ball shooters?) Place her on a path and watch her go!

How do you damage her?

Nice idea! You could use Kameks (Kamella's minions) that shoot shells to get ammunition. You throw the shells at her.

Next step requires making her collisionless (go through). I do this by scaling planets by 1.0001 on any axis. Somehow that removes the collision for many of them.

Then you have to place enemies behind her that are on a path and move at the same speed as her.

Have a Group Switch Watcher (I use this, but apparently the Extermination Checker is a better option) keep track of all the enemies behind "Kamella".

When all have been killed, spawn a power star.
Done :)

IMO Megaleg is probably one of the most feasible SMG1 bosses to replicate in SMG2...

...I tried a while ago, actually. Note to self: Get back to that.

Mega-leg is the boss that I really want to port to smg2 also, but I have no idea where to get started.

How would you port it?
