Listen to what I wanna listen to.
But I do like Kageyama's DBZ pieces. But what I really like is some of SEPIA's work. I have a soundtrack including SEPIA. And Byakkotai was pretty cool too with their song "COOL EYES". "Forever" was nice. Maybe I'll find the lyrics for it. ____________________ Netplay is a language we all speak. Here’s my Discord. Posted by salty Is it okay that I hate this person? I listened to some of Pink Floyd, though my favorite tracks are some of the longer ones which include Interstellar Drive and Atomic Heart Mother. I can't really get into the rest since they're kind of heavy on the lyrics and I don't listen to songs for their lyrics, I listen to songs for how they're arranged and how the vocals are done. Also, some genres I listen to are R&B (the older ones), jazz, disco, fusion jazz like Yellowjackets, funk (like Wild Cherry and Kool and the Gang), a twinge of rap though rap is far from my favorite genre, Eurobeat, some techno, some classical, happy hardcore, metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and I really like fusion metal that incorporates fusion jazz like Atheist and Cynic), classic rock (Rolling Stones) and just a lot of stuff my mom listened to when she was young. IDK I seem to like the old stuff in the 80's. |

Another great song by Byakkotai.

The song sounds a lot like the C-pop tunes my dad listens to.

Posted by LeftyGreenMario Yee, another Pink Floyd fan. If you like the longer songs but not the lyrics, what do you think about songs like Shine On and Echoes? Youtube | Github | Neo Mario Galaxy | Super Mario Galaxy & Super Mario 3D Land Modding |

Don't get me wrong, lyrics in a song don't bother me. But Pink Floyd might be heavy on the lyrics and light on the music itself at some points. They're probably not something I'd put as video game songs. I'll listen to Shine On and Echoes at some point, but for you, what's your opinion on those songs I mentioned?

Personally, I prefer the live version from the 21st November 1970, since I don't like the brass and choir on the album version. This live take can be found on the Devi/ation box-set or the Cre/ation sampler. Interstellar Overdrive quickly became one of favourites. I always enjoy the closing the section ^^ If you are more into the instrumental songs, I recommend listening to A Saucerful of Secrets on the Ummagumma album. I listened to parts 1-5 on the Shine on You Crazy Diamonds. Nice song. I wish I heard it a bit earlier. There are vocals later in the song, but I think they just add to it, so no problem with it. Again, I don't understand what they're saying, but not a big deal for me.

Basically, Shine On is a song about Syd Barret. Wish You Were Here, another song on the self-titled album, is about him as well. That's it about the content, really.
Anyway, a bunch of other nice PF instrumentals include One of These Days, Careful With that Axe Eugene, Terminal Frost, Mudmen, Absolutely Curtains. There is an almost fully-intstrumental/ambient album as well, called The Endless River; the only track featuring vocals by Gilmour is Louder than Words. One thing I like about Pink Floyd is the slow-paced jazzier parts of it. I can't describe it. It begins sometime after the 6:30 mark. I think Dogs and a part of Atomic Heart Mother, but those segments always sound nice to me.

Here's a karaoke for what looks like an interesting 80's series.

Posted by LeftyGreenMario Well, since you enjoy listening to Pink Floyd and their longer songs, I recommend ELP's Tarkus and Karn Evil 9 tracks. The length is 20 and 29 minutes, respectively. EDIT: Maybe you'll also like Genesis, although they are heavier on the lyrics. Listen to "Apocalypse in 9/8" from Supper's Ready, for example, it's mostly instrumental. My taste in music is all over the place. I listen to VGM, Jazz, Pop (pre-2010), alternative, and most recently EDM. Since my life has been bonkers for the past few months I listen to deadmau5 to escape my problems. Here's one I recently listened to.

Posted by SunakazeKun I'm sure I'll probably like them. I wish I have enough time to listen to some of the songs though. I have a lot of stuff I want to do. Though in the meantime, I got some of Nightwish's music and I really like this music. Bye Bye Beautiful and Amaranth sound so awesome and they'll make for great Smash Bros. bgm. |
