Alright, so I've got this MacBook Pro yesterday, and installed Linux even before it got the chance to boot into OS X.
My first impression visiting certain Websites was: "Holy fuck, everything looks so tiny"!
The good news is, setting the resolution much lower made everything look normal again.

it's got a hiDPI screen. You can set the 'right' resolution and use the scaling settings to get things at the right size.

I did that on my laptop (resolution 3200x1800). Scaling set to 2, everything is good under Ubuntu and looks nice (except for a few minor details).

On Windows I set the resolution to 1600x900 tho. Scaling support isn't good enough under Win7, quite a few things stay tiny and the titlebars and shit look derpy.

Windows 8 and 10 are only slightly better. New style UIs scale nicely. Old style UIs (which are still present a lot) are rendered at the normal resolution and upscaled, making them become blurry shit.

If there's one thing OSX deserves credit for, it's clean hiDPI support.
