I want to install CIAs on my 3DS. I tried to use first NASA and then FBI on my hacked 3DS with firmware 9.9.0, but nothing works... Someone told me, that i need a custom firmware. So i tried to use Luma3DS, but it just displays a black screen. I've tried it many times to start this app, also with different Homebrew launchers, but without any success. Later i tried to use other custom firmwares like Minipasta and NTR CFW. BUT NOTHING WORKS!!!! I don't know why.

What could be the problem? Thank you for advance!!!!!

Firmware 9.9.0 is not working with any CFWs. You need to downgrade your 3ds to firmware 9.2.0.

Then you need to create an EmuNand partition on your sd and then you can launch a cfw like Luma3ds.

There are plenty tutorials on YouTube which explain all necessary steps. Just follow them and you are fine.

Oh no, never use video guides. They tend to get outdated fast because they are hard to update.

Instead, you should always refer to Plailect's guides whenever you can, those are always the most accurate ones.

Thank you really much! :D
I will try that later. Ok, i'm really unsure to downgrade my 3DS... is there a chance to brick the 3DS?

Yes, you can brick your 3DS.

* Hard brick - Your 3DS won't turn on. The only way to recover from this is via a hard mod, which is difficult to obtain.
* Soft brick - Your 3DS can boot into recovery mode. You can recover from this, but in turn, you go to the latest firmware version (Which you cannot downgrade from, at the time of writing.).

Keep in mind, though, the software used to downgrade has been thoroughly, and hundreds of people have done it.
Plailect's guide is also constantly revised to keep it up to date, and safe.

Can't you do CFW on sysNAND (real NAND) now? I don't want to faff around with emuNAND

If you don't have A9LH, then you should still have an emuNAND for safety.

But, if you're on a firmware that you can use a CFW on, than you can probably
get A9LH anyways.

Not necessarily, their has to be a downgrade exploit on that firmware for A9LH to be installed.

Oh, I didn't realize that Luma3DS worked on the latest firmware.

(Well, you can downgrade from the latest firm, but it's a long process.)
