Races should not happen. They were a cheap and lazy way to cough up a second star out of Wild Glide and Fleet Glide.

Unless it's either a different track, in which case you'd have to learn it by trial and error, or just something else entirely.

The races were REALLY easy tbh. And I think Star 2 should have subtle differences when you fly to increase challenge. Nothing drastic (bg change at most), just more enemies, more danger, etc

Having those Jibberjays here would make no sense. Why would they come to a planet that has been ripped apart by the fierce battle between the Toad Armada and the Bowser Jr Brigade?

Why would they go to a giant rocket thing?

Jibberjays are pretty dumb, if you ask me.

They are. I say no race. It would be odd. If we HAD to use them, they could potentially be used in the Gliding Canyon Galaxy. And I also think that a Jibberjay mission could pass as a comet.

I like the idea of Rosalina and the Toad Brigade. That is a great way to set off Mario for the big fight.

Well, it could just be one of the more intense battle sites, but with the Starshrooms, airships slowly disappearing as Mario ventures further into the volcano.
Flying Mario would fit the concept, like going back to grab an extra Power Star left after the battle.

Heh, yeah, I never really saw the point of making a design almost like a story. Seriously, it's only making the post longer....

Since there is talk that Gliding Inferno is a possible candidate for the Red Star demo, I have decided to apply my "not-so secret secret" to Gliding Inferno instead of making it a different lava galaxy.

Edit: I may also design a Fluzzard mission. It probably won't be in the demo, but I believe we are going to show off Fluzzard in the trailer.

I'm designing this...I even have my incomplete design thingy.

Fluzzard's Burning Battle Glide


"So close to Bowser...I can feel his wrath" thinks our courageous plumber as he lands on a fallen, midnight-black stalactite which appears to be in a blazing scarlet ocean of crimson magma. Once he lands on the stalactite, he finds out that this galaxy has become a battleground for an extremely murderous battle. Once he looks around, the Majestic Mario sees 2 familiar, armed Toads that he first saw in theHoneyhive Galaxy, and a big bird that he'd riden 3 times before- in the Wild Glide, Fleet Glide, and Gliding Canyon Galaxies. His old friend Fluzzard.
If you talk to the Toad to the right, he says
"Mario! We're trying to get this bird out of here, but he won't trust us! And this stalactite will collapse if we don't get off of it soon!"
The Toad on the left says
"Huh? Do you want to try to ride him? Then go!" And you get teleported onto Fluzzard and start glidin'!
The area that you glide in resembles the picture that Lord Glemmith III posted. All though, there are many airships in the skies that seem to be hunting Toad ships, which are in return trying to blast the Airships out of the dark, smoking sky. On closer inspection, Mario realizes that there are a few Mini-Starshrooms (1-person Starshrooms) and Mega-Starshrooms (Toad Carrier ships). Looking down, Mario can see the blazing ruins of fallen Airships, getting eaten by Magmaaarghs. The Toad brigade also has it's share of fallen ships. there are a few Toads yelling words of encouragement from the ground

You can do it!
And stuff like that

Now, for the real stuff.

The airborn Doomships scourging the skies shoot Homing Killers (or Heat-Seeking Bullet Bills, if you don't know their names) that go after our Fabled Plumber. Some Airships almost submerged in lava might also shoot a few cannonballs, but that it's it. Oh, and there Magmaaarghs and Magmaws hunting for their next meal. Touching them means that both the fat guy and big bird die, and if that happens, Mario will never be able to visit the Rolling Halfpipe or the Super Mario Galaxies. Oh, and he won't be able to stop a giant ninja turtle from ripping existence apart.

As Mario narrowly misses a falling Airship, he realizes that there are Octupusses (Nope, not Octopi, OCTOPUSES as Mario Wiki calls them)lurking between the gigantic stalagmites that surround the wild path. Since our hero is busy holding on to his bird, he can't spin to shoot coconuts back at them. He is a fuckin' sitting duck.

After about 10 Octopusses later, the Red Crusader finds out that the path ends with a gigantic Magmaaargh, who is surrounded by several fallen Airships. "It looks like the airships we'rent fast enough to escape that massive jaw..." Thinks Mario as he notices that the Magmaaargh is eyeing him...
Mario, immedietly going into action mode, steers Fluzzard as far to the right as he possibly can, and quickly ducks into a cave with an open entrance to dodge an angry-looking Killer.
As soon as Mario gets inside, he gasps. The interior of the cavern is beautiful, with gorgeous stalactites and breath-taking lava falls. It seems like he is safe...But then he realizes how the Toads out there are risking their lives to stop Bowser. "No" he thinks "No matter how many lives I lose, I will defeat the king of Koopas."
An explosion brings Mario back to reality. The left side of the cave breaks apart, and lava splatters all over the obsidian walls, and a Toadshroom crashes into the lava, and slowly melts. Suddenly, the cave of paradise has become absolute hell.
Mario quickly evades several podoboos that seem to be jumping out of cracks in walls. The rumbling also caused several hundred stalactites to fall from the low ceiling. It will be a miracle if Mario get out of there alive.

Soon, Mario can see an exit to the cave that doesn't seem to be engulfed in darkness, nor cannonballs. He sees the Grand Starshroom, surrounded by different models of Starshrooms, on the horizon. He urges Fluzzard to speed up.
Soon, after dodging a malicous Cannonball attack, Mario goes through the teleporter ( Re-textured Sun Circle), and he lands on the Mega-Starshroom. Rosalina, Lubba, and a few Toads come to greet Mario, and Rosalina speaks up.
"Thank the cosmos that you are safe, Mario. We managed to push back Bowser's forces back, but a great number of starshrooms were lost. Don't worry, Lubba and your original crew of Toads are safe, they were very brave, they managed to capture a few Airships and unleash Bowser's forces' own power again them. We also managed to get this..." She raises her hand, and a Power Star flies out of her hand, and lands in front of Mario

Polari, could you condense your design? I mean, it'll be weird to have an official design to have:

But your design is pretty much official.
Just a few questions:
1. How do the Starshrooms return fire?
2. Is that crashing in animation practical?

Anyway, Star 2 is Mario exploring deeper into the hazardous underground network of lava caverns with the Red Star, right?

Probably not, polari hates it in this level, we're only using it for the trailer and demo

I don't hate it, but meh...Let's just have it in the demo and say that it was 'scrapped' in the final stages of development when we release the official hack :P

And gc, I can say whatever stupid shit I want in my designs :)
