Nobody seems to remember the bad parts of Sonic Adventure 2, like the stupid gem collecting parts of the game. I don't mind a change in pace, but geez, 10+ minutes in a mess of a level. <_<

I don't know, for me, the more memorable parts of the game were the gem collecting and the mechs, not really the Sonic levels. I'm just not a traditional Sonic fan lol.

I played Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. But in the end, it annoyed me.

It's probably just me though. I don't quite enjoy the RPG style, esp. in a Mario game where you'll run across Goombas and Koopas and crap every so often, and instead of just stomping them, every encounter is a full-fledged fight. It quickly gets old. Paper Mario Sticker Star kind of has the same problem.

I also didn't like how the game required reading through countless screens of explanative text. Argl, I want to just play the damn game.

The one time I skipped an explanation, it was about hammer defense, and sure enough, I was screwed without it.

oh well

you can basically dodge all non-boss encounters in any mario rpg if i remember right

that is one of the (few) things that bothered me about super mario rpg (the only mario rpg i've been able to play), the plot isn't even that good but even skipping through it takes a good 5 minutes every time a plot-relevant text box comes up

which wouldn't be terrible if there wasn't a plot-relevant text box before and after pretty much every dungeon in the game

Yeah StapleButter, don't think you're a fan of RPGs in general, a lot of RPGs tend to be that way.

Probably the turn-based ones. In games like Diablo, though, there aren't scene changes, and I don't think you have to slog through a lot of dialog either.
