I need a bit of help in translating Splatoon strings...and I don't really trust google translate on this one.
敵にゴールされても、ボムを入れ返せば阻止できるぞ! これは自軍のゴールだ! 先に敵ゴールにボムを入れた方の勝ち! カベにかくれる!戦場の鉄則じゃ! シールド持ちは、正面からのショットはきかん! ボムで注意をそらしてから、ショットじゃ! ジャンプポイント発見!確認されたし! that's all I really got right now ____________________ a |

Posted by MrRean I'll send it to my friend in Japan and ask him to translate it and give you the results. Might be a day or two. |

it's from Splatoon, it's not in a MSBT. It's actually from 2 parameters that store debug strings (or 'Text'). ____________________ a |

If this was written fully in katakana, it would've been easy for me. Unfortunately, its written in hiragana and I have difficulty when the two writing systems merge together. <Silvreus>I am a random person…
<Silvreus>With a random personality… <Silvreus>With a random life… <Silvreus>How fun. :P |

I can read Hiragana, Katakana, and a big number of Kanji, but I get stuck on the Grammar part of this Text. |

I've tried putting my Romaji skills into translating this. Romaji is basically the Japanese characters being pronounced with English letters. Hopefully, this will ease up the translation. Note : Even I myself am not sure if this is correct. The underlined words are what I consider unsure about.

Posted by Lunarius In my opinion, Romanisation will lead to even more confusion. Look at the word "hashi", for example: HAshi (箸) = Chopsticks. haSHI (橋) = Bridge. HASHI (端) = Edge of a table. That's the very reason the Japanese use Kanji for written Japanese, and pitch accent for spoken Japanese. |

Romanisation doesn't mean translation.
It's this: だい【 大 】= dai Not this: だい【 大 】= big |
