Starts with me getting waken up one hour or so early, because herpderp mom thought I had to wake up earlier and can't be assed to just let me live. (also: need to know who leaves last so that person remembers to turn on the derpass alarm thing)
berp derp zerp rerp. I can't sleep again in so few time. Or not well. I leave on time to get my bus. Wait half an hour in crappy slight rain and cold wind. glfzdzd. Bus never arrives. I decide that fuck it, I'm coming back home. I can see the bus arrive at that time, but honestly fuck it. I'd be so late it wouldn't even be funny. I could have chosen to go to the next course, but I didn't miss anything. It was your typical first network course where you do a few traceroutes to find out how many servers are between you and the MIT, or some dumb shit you have already done 50 times before. On the plus side, was nice to stay at home. Now if I could actually be productive What else is there to say? I hate fuckass teachers who decide to be adamant about the time the course starts. As if people went out of their way to be late. Do you know what traffic jams are? Do you consider the fact that not everybody lives right next to the campus? Of course you don't, fucking moron. Or you are just so frustrated over something that you need to annoy everybody for no reason. Sigh. The worst is when they decide to throw you out because you're late. Not only have you undergone all the trip for nothing, but it also counts as if you purposefully skipped the course. Way to go, retards. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Also one of the reasons why I'd love to get my own apartment close to my univ/work/whatever. Dealing with traffic is annoying. One day it's good and you arrive one hour early, the next day it's fucking terrible and you're one hour late. It's nearly impossible to plan right when you have to take traffic into account.
Oh and on mornings and evenings, when people go to work or come back, it's generally bad. I don't want to be driving through that shit every fucking day. Living near my job will definitely be a requirement. As an example, one of the busses I take to go to univ. The one that covers the most distance, and takes a road prone to traffic jams. Theoretical time for my travel: 15 minutes Time under best conditions (ie. mid-day, late evening): 10 minutes Time under terrible conditions: 1 hour Time under typical morning/evening half-traffic-jammed conditions: 20-30 minutes ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

'Sorry about that. :/ Most teachers pretty much have no understanding nowadays.. They will claim that they are simply just going by the handbook and thus they take advantage of that with the finishing touches of their own derpy "rules".
Like, can you not? Also, what's weird is that whenever I'm a little late for class, I get fussed at by the teacher while at the same time these other idiots are late as well. But you know, those idiots get blessed by the teacher. Is it truly fair for me to get the blame on for helping people in the hall with their locker, while those idiots get blessed for making out with their girl/boy friend in the hall? Ha, no. Fucking irrelevance all around! I too have those "nice" days. They're full of misadventures! *sigh* ____________________ sign |

Believe it or not, there's a similar situation in my school. Even when the bell rings, your teacher has to dismiss you. Sometimes you have to stay in for a while. Most teachers don't care if you're late to your next class. Then there are times when the whole class has to stay in, even if you did nothing wrong. Before you know it, you have detention for being late just because your teacher doesn't dismiss you on time.
What makes matters worse is that you only have 3 min. to get to class. discord: Sevvy#4212, twitter: @Sevvyuwu add me if you want, kinda shy tho |

more amazing day incoming: wake up too lazily, and find out you wake up right at the time you should have left home
Atleast tomorrow I won't be missing anything, I have more time for choosing options for my second semester. I don't really know what to choose though, I'm afraid they will be highly theoretical, brain-masturbatory crap that teaches you nothing practical. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Yea, happened to me last week where the bus didn't show up and I missed my first class. I said, fk it, im waiting for the next. After an hour under the heat and sun (busses should show up every 30 minutes, so 2 didnt show up), a bus shows up and I make it to my next lecture. Worst thing is that I can't say "fk it, not going for the day", cause im paying 13k a year for uni, each lecture missed is like $40. And i have a fking lab or tutorial every day too where attendance counts for marks.
60% of first year students live on campus, I chose not to, to save about 7k, so I take the bus every day, for the overpriced price of $5.05 a trip, which amounts to like 1k a year, which saves me 6k from living in campus, so thats nice. My professors don't care if you show up late, lectures have like 400 or more people so it doesnt matter to them who shows up or not. But labs and tutorials, theres where the problem lies, you gotta show up on time, if you don't, you're screwed. |

Reminds me of why it'd be cool if I lived on the campus or nearby.
Pros: * living alone, no having to deal with annoying mom * proximity to the campus or a RER station -> much less chance to be late (RER can be unreliable too, but probably not as bad as the traffic I go through, most of the time it works) * easier socialization. Want to meet friends, party at night, whatever? Just go knock on their door, no need to planify everything and deal with longass bus rides. Same shit for going to Paris during night, you get RER trains up to 1AM. Cons: * costs money. Would require me to work some crap job aside from univ. It's kinda like free hosting vs paid hosting. Staying at home with your parents is 'free', but you're stuck in this shithole full of prepubescent dickheads and no busses past 9PM. Getting to the campus also takes ~1h of bus ride, with changes adding to your daily tension. As you already know, I have switched to paid hosting long ago. If only doing the same IRL was that easy ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

I don't need to party. I like meeting new people tho. And not having to deal with mom is a really good point lol. I actually like comeing back home after school and have my room to sleep in, the kitchen to get any food I want, and my desk with my pc and plenty of room to do hw.
Tho nowadays I spend like at least 2 or 3 hrs a day at the library. |

My teachers are pretty cool, and instead of hating on them for silly things, I appreciate them taking the time to teach us every day so we can get better at studies, life, and the real world. |

>get better
Really depends on what the teacher teaches you and how they teach it. Even at univ there's still a ton of shit that will be completely useless for me. And how they teach programming sometimes... like how they teach C at my previous school. Oh god. It's like: a = 3;
b = 7; c = ((((((a * (((b - a))) / a + b))) - (((((((((b * a * b-b))))) + a/a)))) / a); > considering the parenthesis and priority rules, which value does c get? and other similar retarded crap Had I discovered C that way... I'd be disgusted away from it. Sure, staying at your parents' home has a certain 'comfort', but uh. At this point I'd rather get some independence and learn about life. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

I'm teaching English to many Business people here, and although I'm not a native English speaker, those people still prefer me over those many Schools, being ran by native English speakers.
And you know why? Because School Systems, all around the Globe, just suck! While the most professional Teachers take a handful of money for 4 years (or longer/shorter), teach people once a week, using boring Books, I concentrate on 1-on-1 Speaking Exercises, 30 minutes a day, for 3-6 months, and for half the price. Results: People become more fluent quicker, than they'll ever become with those 'Professionals'. (Oops, I shouldn't advertise myself here, but I assume no one else here lives in the Tokyo Area, anyway.) Programming is the exact same thing: They take 2-4 years to teach you something, you can do on your own within months, or even weeks. To add even more Common Non-Sense to it, back when I lived in The Netherlands, I learnt a whole lot more on a lower Level Education, than on a higher Level. Not because I'm stupid, it's because the School System is stupid! Just look for any Programming Studies, for example... On lower Level Education, they usually focus on the core thing: Programming! Meanwhile, on higher Level Education, they find it more important you know Maths, Databases, ITIL, Academic Writing, how Visual Studio works, and whatever else that doesn't relate to Programming at all. And yet, you'll have a much better chance to get a Job, if you have a higher Level... |

School is as broken in France, really. They fail at properly teaching, and if they continue this way, within 10 years illiterate morons will be in charge.
They should focus on the important base stuff first. Math, grammar, spelling. All elementary school long. And ensure everyone learns it properly. But no, instead they spread on a ton of useless art subjects. Not only are they more inefficient but they disgust students away from everything. There are only so much things the human brain can focus on, stop trying to teach us a ton of things at once. We aren't multitasking computers. The "Ecole 42" is an interesting project. They teach programming in a completely novel way that forces you to rely on yourself and others to get things done. I'm looking forward to how it'll do, this year students will come out of it for the first time. It's not recognized by the French government, of course, but who knows? ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

I mean, if every teacher went one on one to teach students, it wouldn't be sustainable. On the other hand, I believe a problem with the education right now is grades as in year grades. So lets say little Billy is in grade 3, but he finds everything super easy and could finish grade 3 in 5 months. Then theres Joe who struggles with the content and needs a whole year to learn the content. Well, schools right now keep Billy in the same class as Joe, limiting his momentum and learning. Why? I think schools shouldn't be age based, but knowledge based. Let Billy be in grade 6 if he can. Let Billy graduate from high school when he's 15 instead of 18.
Really. When I look back right now, I think, why do kids under grade 11 bother doing well at school if only grade 12 marks matter for university acceptance? Why do they care? a 50%=100%. This is why having a system like this will reward those who sit in the +80% range and move them up so they actually get a challenge. |

Man, school sucks. I have each on my classes on seperate sides of te school. It doesn't help when you get called out when you're 10 seconds late to class. I have books to carry and it doesn't help that stairways are traffic jams waiting to happen. |

Well my university I gotta walk from one end of the campus to the other, we get 10 mins to do so. And my chemistry lectures are so bad that we get a funnel-like line where we wait for people to leave and we go in slowly, it takes 10 minutes to get in, and sometimes all fking 500 chairs get taken and you have to stay standing in the lesson. Its even worse when theres a spot in the middle of the row and you have to go though fking 10 pairs of legs and backpacks to get to that spot. Why the fk dont people take the middle first and leave the outsides for people that come later? |

Here we have 80 minute 'blocks' (Which are made up of 2 classes, usually the same one), then they give us a 10 minute break to get some food or go outside. If you come late to class, teachers usually don't do anything, unless you are like 10 minutes late with no real excuse. If you were talking with a teacher, or if your bus was late, they don't do anything. ____________________
