The thing for ROM hacking is out, apparently.

*hax 2.5 was released, which allows for eShop access, ROM hacks and screenshots.

Have a look at this.

>rom hacking, which lets you run modded versions of games you own such as pokemon

For me that feature isn't working correctly. With a vanilla FS of NSMB2 I get a blackscreen after the "Please wait..." on the bottom screen.

Worked for me I had the same issue and all I had to do was reinstall Ironhax

Have you used NSMB 2 or any other game and are you sure that you used a romfs from the sd card? Launching NSMB 2 without sd romfs and all other games with custom romfs work flawlessly for me.

I've also tried reinstalling but it doesn't work for Ninjhax and Ironhax

I'm patiently waiting for someone to create VS race for Mario Kart 7. Like, it really killed the replay value for me :(.

Do you have cubic ninja? Do you have ironfall Invasion from before September 2015? What about OOT 3D? Or Smash Bros, a Linux PC, and a n3DS? We need details to help.

I have Ironfall before, but that won't work yet.

No OOT.

Smash I do, but it's complex to install.

No Linux, but I have Windows.

Old 3DS.

Smash doesn't work on o3DS, and OOT is secondary, so your kinda out of luck. Keep Ironfall, as Smea said, the web browser is full of exploits waiting to be discovered, so browserhax will return someday.

also, watch out if applying recent cart-based updates, Nintendo is sneaky

if you update to 9.x or above from a game cart, it replaces the browser with a dummy one that asks you to update from their servers

recent versions of the browser will also refuse to run if the browser needs to be updated

this can be bypassed though, 3dbrew explains the shit

So I am trying to launch homebrew again, and I'm on version 10.2.0 28

From what I gather, in order to use Ironhax again, I must re install it for it to work on the newer payloads? Or can I continue using the old payload? It seems I cant run homebrew without cubic ninja. Or is there another way?

Give more details, what firmware were you on when you used ironfall? Do you have OOT and a save dongle? If you have OOT and access to a 3DS that does have homebrew, you can also use that.

I updated my payloads before updating, even if it was just for upgrading to Ninjihax 2.5.

I suggest you use a game based exploit, they're guaranteed to work and can easily reinstall IronHax for you.

Good luck!

I was on 10.1.0 when I installed Ironhax.

Also, where can I get Ninjhax 2.5?

When I run the one I download form the github page, it says 2.1 when executing.

Also, I can't with the games. I dont have OoT. So cubic ninja is the only one...well RIP.

I wanted the unlimited play coin thing because a game I'm using uses it to stupidly block content unless you spend some.

Oh, I thought you didn't update your payload before updating. If you can access 2.1, download the starter pack and run ironhax installer again, and you have 2.5. For safety, I recommend also installing the 10.3 payload to file 2 or 3, and never overwrite a working payload, always do a different save file until you can test it.
