The board update is gonna get private threads you know. Should the posts in those private threads be editable by whoever posted them? Tough choice.

Vote.

Last post. Because nobody will even see the edit unless they go back. (or would it autoupdate? Like, if you edit a message that was send before the last, would it update? If it doesn't, nobody will even see the edit.)

Definitely only if it's the last post. I didn't think of that, actually.

I'll look over a thread to see if it's got any new edits, so I'd just say edits at any time.

Sure, why not. It seems cool.

You have to keep in mind that if it's a private conversation, sometimes editing a post isn't always the best idea.

EDIT: 420 blaze it

Last post, for the same reason as MrRean.

Seems like the choice is pretty obvious, uh.

Might as well post an update. PM threads are mostly done.

PM thread listing is done, showing who is within each conversation and all that junk. Starting PM conversations, reading them and replying to them is possible too. It's also possible for the conversation creator to change who is allowed in their conversation. There is a limit of 6 users per conversation (5 + whoever created it).

The rest is mostly tidbits. Marking conversations as read/unread (will work pretty much like for regular threads), displaying who read your reply, an option to remove yourself from a conversation that doesn't interest you anymore (how would it work if there are only two people in the conversation?), oh and editing your post if it's the last one.

I tried to retain the original PM system wording as to not confuse users.

As a side note, private threads also have things in common with public threads. They can have icons (including custom ones).

But that's pretty much all. They can't be stickied or closed. They can't have polls attached. They don't have viewcounts.

Okay, PM threads are mostly done.

Editing a PM is only possible if it's yours and if it hasn't been replied to in the meantime.

Editing a PM updates the conversation's last post date, effectively bumping it up and marking it as new. The same also applies to public posts/threads.

For those who didn't see it, the notification for new PMs looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/WCiQKqj.png
