Let's just stop being nerds and admit this is a videogame.

No. I'm not going to stop sciencing because someone who is roughly synonymous with PAPERCLIPS and MARGARINE told me to. What has it done to harm you? It isn't spamming the board, and shouldn't be a problem for you. You don't have to participate, but (while I respect that this is your board), I'd greatly appreciate it if you didn't force this topic shut.

...I'm putting on a "SWING BANHAMMER HERE" sign , aren't I?

Nice job resorting to a lame ad hominem attack that doesn't even make sense.

And that "Nice job" was sarcasm.

Personally I think Mario takes place in a different universe with a different laws of physics, explaining some this.

EDIT: Ugh, got ninja'd!

Thanks for making your sarcasm known, makes it a lot easier to pick up on. That wasn't meant as an attack, just to point out the sheer peculiarity of the username "StapleButter", and the difficulty in taking him seriously that follows.

[sarcasm]Yes, I am DEFINITELY being completely literal right now.[/sarcasm]

How Ice Mario can generate Ice: His body temperature is so low, it freezes water solid, and has a similar effect on water vapour. Moisture trapped in solid surfaces is also affected, thus explaining how he can skate on any surface, to some extent.

The freezing point of water is 0°C. A normal human body temperature is around 37°C. Hypothermia occurs as soon as your body temperature goes below 35°C. How is Mario not dying?

The Ice Flower has a limited duration of effect for a reason (other than gameplay balance).

Is it just me, or have I already answered this question?

1. Not in the NSMB series.
2. Going from 37 degrees to 0 degrees in one second would almost certainly induce shock and kill Mario.

Why are we continuing? It has already been determined that science doesn't work in Mario games.

Just as Splitwirez has an illogical need to rationalize everything, I have a need to prove obviously incorrect people wrong.

Good fucking luck getting a girlfriend then, because these things are all but rational.

Oh, so you were debunking my theory. Okay, you win on that one.

Are any of my other theories remotely plausible?

Bowser never learns his lesson: He's a determined moron, perhaps to the point of insanity.

This does make sense.

Okay, glad there's one that works, but there's so little Science to that one, it barely even counts...wait, Mario Logic, nvm...

...uh...any others?

How does explosive decompression not kill Mario instantly when he flies with a launch star?

How do Launch Stars work anyway?

Jesse
Posted on 01-20-15 08:58 PM Link | #54759
My idea was that the blue lines that launch stars create actually are gravity lines with oxygen in it. They also make mario not to break his leg when he lands. but hey, that a theory. A bad theory!

How does Wonka's flying glass elevator work anyway?
