i hate firefox (and i love chrome) but i've started using it now because i don't want my ram to be devoured and faster downloads and-

but yeah windows i don't have too much of a problem with. not good for something like a raspberry pi but for something like a normal-use computer (and especially one used with hacking/modding) it's great

they're becoming full-fledged OSes

and this level of complexity worries me about the future of the free internet, because that also means a way high entry barrier into the market of browsers, at which point the only actors that can thrive within the market are the kind who will have incentive to make money (like, you know, your average IT company)

dang, i never thought about it like that. they kinda really are becoming OSes, and with chromebooks, that possibility is becoming a reality. who knows when we'll get a firefox OS, or an opera OS, or even a microsoft edge O--
