Quoting users doesn't work outside of notifications.
You have to go to settings to get to your own channel outside of typing a URL.
Tag suggest won't appear on uploads
Notifications never auto refresh
Google just hangs for no reason sometimes for a few minutes

I will list more errors...

attention, Youtube

when I press the Play button

it means: play the goddamn video

not: stay stuck on the first frame half the time

Speaking of the player, it seems that they screwed up big time.

Sometimes, when I pause the video, it starts playing, but the pause stance stays on, meaning I can't pause the video again. Also it seems a lot of the time the icons for the settings and stuff on the right is missing or fails to load.

oh, I noticed that too, but it goes away by itself after a while (?)

and yeah, icons seem to fail to load on embedded players...

How to code for Google!

1. Be a hipster! Google is modern, trendy, hip. They want coders who reflect that. Full of the new hip coding techniques regardless of how shitty they are.
2. Write code with your toes. Who cares if it works at all!
3. Don't test your code! Never!
4. Don't use Google's services, either! You might find out that your shitty code doesn't work worth a damn!

Which is fine because you won't hear the end users bitch about it. Google is smart and provides no way to contact a human being. They only give you a bunch of predefined requests that go nowhere (except when they're copyright takedown requests). There's no human in that system. The humans are well-isolated behind that wall.

Oh hey, the copyright whores struck a song I like.

[thumbnail]

Well let's give Youtube a big middle finger.

[thumbnail]

also, listen to the song, it's cool

well, I could play that video, but through a web proxy and in crappy quality (even worse than 144p)

now that's over

[thumbnail]

now it's in my computer in glorious HD, and Youtube can't do shit against it

Youtube Downloader HD + Proxifier = win

On a related note, am I the only one who thinks Google Glass looks stupid?

most of the smart objects are stupid and merely commercial bullshit

I like the idea of auto-driving cars though. And Google happens to be one of those developers for some auto-driving cars.

Well, I do have my concerns about self-driving Cars.
I mean, it's not like everyone will be able to afford one, and a lot of people who drive in a 'manually driving' Car are total idiots, which will guarantee even more accidents.
And unfortunately, I was right...

(Just search for News regarding this, there are to many Links I would need to share.)

In scientific practices and tests, driverless cars should reduce the number of accidents because a huge majority of it is caused by human error from driving rather than mechanical failure; however humans being unpredictable and some who want to override auto-controls in favor of manual (even though it should be used only in emergencies rather than a choice) are a variable that science can't predict, hence why it causes more crashes.

However, with Google Car, the only accidents suffered with the test drives were people who bumped into them, rather than the machine conking out.

I still don't think we know enough about driverless cars to draw conclusions from, as they're still in the testing stages.

About your "a lot of people who drive cars are idiots", isn't that the reason driverless cars are even considered in the first place? And just because people around those driverless cars are idiots, it has nothing to do with driverless cars in the first place since accidents by idiots happen regardless. Yes, there are liability issues, but that's another story.

Thanks for re-confirming what I just said.

Could you possibly re-read my Post?
I clearly wasn't saying the automatic cars are at fault, I said those controlling the old 'manual' cars are.
How safe they may be, automatic cars still aren't smart enough to dodge drunkards.

I would never step foot into a self driving car. Who knows what some people might do if they figured out how to hijack one with a remote control, or some shit? Think about it, serial killers, thieves, and people who would want to do other things to you, could hijack the car, and have it take you right to them.

this is exactly what I feel about all that 'smart object' bullshit

those morons want to connect everything for no reason and don't think about security

see you in 10 years: oh fuck, my underwear got hacked

Well, there's that, but I don't know, wouldn't keys and manual override still be appropriate measures against thieves and hiijackers? I don't see how that's different from, say, someone rigging your car to self-destruct or something... I don't know. Wouldn't stop road rage, but driverless cars aren't mean to stop that, they're meant to address human error in driving...

modern regular cars can already get hacked, you can do things like overriding brakes, accelerator, wheel etc...

my grandparents put a bar thing on their car's wheel when it's parked, to block the wheel

for a while I considered it paranoid, but now it makes sense

They're basically playing with fire, no matter the Security, every piece of technology can be Hacked at some point.
The 'smarter' something is, the easier it is to Hack.
(Well, not always, seeing how easy it was to Hack a DS, compared to a 3DS, which was still harder to Hack than a Wii U.)
