I changed the backgrounds in almost all galaxies in SMG1 to change the theme. Well some is a bit glitchy.

Download: https://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=iupimJXMPNiCnOk1

NOTE: I did just change the background in (almost) all galaxies to change the theme and make a downloadable pack. This isn't SUPER advanced, do you have problems with it?

It takes a lot of skill to be credible with footage recorded with a camera or cell phone. You just pulled it off, and made a powerful point. You just blew my mind. If...if you combine this with some retextures and modified text, you've got yourself something amazing. I may not be qualified to say this, but in this case I couldn't care less. GalaxyHacker, you have a gift in this area. A lot of your content is...mediocre. Most see this as a representation of your skill, and at one point I did too. Everyone is wrong about that. You have an unrealized talent, and I want to see you go far with it. You make a trailer better than that of any professional movie, using a VIDEO CAMERA, and people call you mediocre. You overhaul a level without touching a single planet, and noone even bothers to look. You need to channel that talent into a purpose. Perhaps SMG1.1 . You dared to hack a game noone else cares about. That I can respect. Now stop dumping the responsibility on others, get to work, and SHOW EVERYONE HOW WRONG THEY WERE ABOUT SMG1, AND ABOUT YOURSELF.

In 2007 I got SMG1, then I beat it in 2010 becuase the comets was too hard for me. In 2010 I got SMG2, and I beat it too. My Wii broke in 2013 and then I got a Wii U in Cristmas in 2014. I beaten SMG1 and 2 again.

One day when I play, my cousin was there, and he noticed the Penguin called Mario for "old man". An evening in March 1 I read about the Penguin on MarioWiki to see if the penguins were mean because they called Mario for "old man". On the article about the penguins I saw it was a penguin named "Penguru". I went to the article about him to see which penguin he was. It said there he was in Bigmounth Galaxy and I went to the article about this galaxy for see which galaxy it was, because I didn't remember. It was a section about water planets in the article. There it said that you can't come to them without hacking. And it had s source for it too, a YouTube video. I watched it and I saw it was a transformation hack that he used. I wanted to do the same. I searched simply "how to hack super mario galaxy" and it didn't give me good results. I still watched videos about cheat code hacks and a person on YouTube named "Mario Super" had commented the video and he simply said that you need the Homebrew channel with Gecko and get the cheat codes with Ocarina and do that by using SD card. I watched a lot of tutorials about downloading the Homebrw channel and Gecko and everything, then finally after almost a month I did it.

I saw videos about 2.5 and I was wondering what it was. I then saw what it was in Glem3's trailer video about it. I found Anthe's tutorial on YouTube about how to download it and everything, I followed it and it worked fine. I wanted to help with the project and I finally found this site. I registered me and I heard it was cancelled.

I wanted to make my own levels and NWP lead me to the IRC and helped me to set up riivolution and everything and he give me Glem3's Beat Block level. I downloaded Java to run Whitehole, but it for whatever reason didn't work. I come to the IRC many times and asked for help many times and SB got tired and banned me. That is problably why he hate me.

I somehow got Whitehole working and the first thing I did was a simple edit on Supermassive Galaxy. I got inspired of Glem3's Beat Block level and I edited Beat Block to make it harder. It become my first custom level. I learned me many things about SMG hacking and there's where I'm today!

If my cousin hadn't notice that the Penguin called Mario for "old man", I hadn't post this comment now. It sounds like a weird story, but it is 100% true.

Levels is pain to do and it isn't many other awesome things you can do. Texture hacking can be fun and nice, but no level in a while for me. I don't want to stop with SMG hacking, but it may becomes boring for m later. Sorry. :(

All he does is swap files in the game's filesystem. This has been done ever since decrypting a Wii ISO was possible. This is no achievement.

I'm not trying to be mean there, but you are overestimating the quality of his product.

What do you have to say here when you don't even care about SMG hacking? My "trailer" wasn't perfect, but it was good even if I filmed with a cell phone. Splitwirez will have the full answer.

You don't have to care about SMG hacking to post an opinion on something. Plus, splitz overreacted to the video and what you did.

point? You're falling into the same trap as everyone else. You may see a simple product, but I see a brilliant designer operating at 1/10 capacity. He has talent. Think about it. Think not about what he's created, but what his creations could become with a little more work.

It's my opinion, and you can't change that. This hack, the trailer for it, his Halloween galaxy, and the fact that he has the guts to hack a game almost no one cares about hacking (SMG1), confirmed my beliefs about him.

If you still see him the way you always have, then I'll just have to let you live with being wrong, and with rejecting such potential. It's not the hack that's amazing, it's the hacker...the GalaxyHacker. I can easily see him going a long way. With some determination, persistence, motivation, and interest, he can, and will, do amazing things. Maybe not in SMG2, but somewhere. Somewhere, he will.

And no, he didn't pay me squat for anything. I felt the need to share my thoughts. Yes, MY thoughts. I don't care how much you bombard me for "overreacting", or anything, as this isn't about me. It's about GalaxyHacker, and about your failure to see beyond the files, so to speak. Even if you ban me and delete all my posts, you still won't be right about this.

Okay, that...really doesn't make you any more credible. In fact, it does the opposite. I recommend not doing that.

There is no "talent" in REPLACING BACKGROUNDS.

You aren't getting it. Yes, it is "cool" and everybody has potential, but you're taking it too far and overreacting to it.

"guts to hack SMG1"
It's literally the same thing as SMG2, just a worse filesystem. There's not "guts" to downloading files and opening Whitehole and editing it.

Plus, we're not "rejecting" it. It's just that you're overreacting.

Nothing says I don't want you to do something good.

I'm just saying he's overreacting to something that is simple, but cool to do.

It wasn't very simple. I did it in almost all galaxies and think what background that will do most change.

What do you have to say here when you don't even care about SMG hacking?

Who are you to talk to me this way?

This is a messageboard, all people are free to give their opinions. If you don't like it, your problem.

It's literally the same thing as SMG2, just a worse filesystem. There's not "guts" to downloading files and opening Whitehole and editing it.

Plus, we're not "rejecting" it. It's just that you're overreacting.

Again, it isn't the hack, it's the hacker. You're just proving my point, as StapleButter did.

So, I'm not allowed to have an opinion that is different than yours or StapleButter's?

I didn't mean the guts to just hack the game, I meant the guts to go against the convention ("noone cares about SMG1 hacking") and violate precisely what everyone believes, without concern of being looked down upon.

I meant "rejecting" GalaxyHacker, not his work, and figuratively so. I'm not overreacting, I'm looking past the actual product, to the person who created it...something that you might be able to do if you weren't following StapleButter's example in hating him. I see no way that "He's a moron" can be a legitimate reason to ban a legitimate user. That is poor administration, banning due to opinions, even if they are shared. I couldn't possibly disagree with that 'reason' any more than I do. I'm not saying you're wrong, or I'm right, I'm saying we're all entitled to our own opinions, and there is no justification for attempting to change that, nor any for an opinion to be reason enough to ban a user.

To make it clear, it's not that I don't believe in GalaxyHacker's skill. Everyone can have skill in a certain domain. It's just that for now we haven't seen much evidence of it.
