it's pretty good. Nice job with the color tweaks, too.

now the only problem is gonna be the background cutting off for long posts. it's still better than a crappy repeat, though.

I could just make the background repeat but not the squid.

The squid doesn't need to be repeated, as the Mario and Baby Luigi in my post layout don't need to be repeated.

So I've decided to sort of work on a new layout. Anyway, I made a Mappy Like Background. I wish I could make it transparent so you could see what is going on and the background is a little small but I would like to hear more from you guys.

It's better when it's not transparent. I suggest you lower the overall contrast of the background, probably by darkening it overall. They seem really distracting.

If you want to add a semi-transparent background, use the following for your background

background: rgba(R, G, B, A) !important;

Where R is the red value, G is the green value, B is the blue value (all three values combine to make a color). A would be the alpha, transparency, and it can range from 0 (completely transparent) to 1 (opaque), where you'd input decimal values like 0.5 for 50% transparency. I prefer values like 0.8 and higher for the sake of readability.

Alright, I've decided to not make it transparent since in some way, it does look a little better, but I am not really happy with the dark blue things. Does anybody else have an idea for another color? Also, I have darken the image a bit.

My biggest problem with the image is the signature. It is an ugly dark blue box. I only had a signature layout there because it looks uglier when removed.

You should disable the sig line and remove the coding for the signature? The darker image does look better, so kudos for that. Not sure what you mean by "dark blue things". The post layout is dark blue? I think you should tinker with the color picker. You can do this via right click-inspect element and find the value for your current color. And then, you can alter that.

I've decided to give it a brown color. I have plans for changing its font, but I'll leave it as it is for now. What do you guys think?

It's not bad, though I think the brown should be muted a bit, like saturation should be turned a notch down.

Alright, I've decided to tone down on the brown.

Much better. If you don't like the bar at the bottom, turn off "show signature separator".

Are there any obvious flaws in this layout to anyone here? I've had it in various variations for years now, but I might as well ask.

Your text is really hard to read because your bright purple doesn't contrast well with the light-colored background that is only slightly offset by the transparent black box. I suggest you increase the opaqueness of that box.
