As the name says, this thread is about how to change the comet on a galaxy in SMG1/2.
You need open Whitehole's BCSV editor and change the "Comet" section to the comet you want. See my video of how to do that:

See here what the name of all the comets is:

Both games:
Red: Speedy Comet
Dark: Daredevil Comet
Purple: Purple Comet
Quick: Quick Comet

SMG1 only:
Black: Timed Purple Comet
Ghost: Cosmic Comet

SMG2 only:
Exterminate: Romp Comet
Mimic: Clone Comet

Open a galaxy's scenario

Type that in Archive: "/StageData/YourGalaxy/YourGalaxyScenario.arc" and type that in File: "/yourgalaxyscenario/scenariodata.bcsv" and click at the "Open" button.

Change/add comet

When you have open the galaxy's scenario it will look like that:

It is a list of the stars there, the first is at the top of the list, the second is after etc. Under the "Comet" section it is some small boxes like that:

Double click at any and type the comet you want the scenario you want to have. See here again what the comets are:

Both games:
Red: Speedy Comet
Dark: Daredevil Comet
Purple: Purple Comet
Quick: Quick Comet

SMG1 only:
Black: Timed Purple Comet
Ghost: Cosmic Comet

SMG2 only:
Exterminate: Romp Comet
Mimic: Clone Comet

If you want to have a timed comet, set the "9009023A" (or the name maybe is "CometLimitTimer" for you) section to the time you want (values are in seconds), works with all comets.
When you are done, click at the "Save" button. If you for example edited BigGalaxy's comet, place the BigGalaxy folder that have the Map, Sound, Scenario etc. on your SD-card and make sure you have the BigGalaxyScenario.arc in the BigGalaxy folder!

I really hope that you don't be confused, you need basically open a galaxy in Whitehole's BCSV editor and change the comet to the one you want and save. Place it then on your SD-card. That's it.

Hm, this could have been organized much better, and the 2nd list of comets isn't really needed, but this is still nice to have. (Though, didn't we have another guide for this somewhere?)

You have an outdated FieldList.txt in Whitehole. Because of that, it shows up as a hash, not the actual "CometLimitTimer."

What I did for open a galaxy in Whithole's BCSV editor in my video was: In "Archive" it says "/StageData/HeavenlyBeachGalaxy/HeavenlyBeachGalaxyScenario.arc". I changed "/StageData/HeavenlyBeachGalaxy/HeavenlyBeachGalaxyScenario.arc" to "/StageData/BigGalaxy/BigGalaxyScenario.arc". In "File" it says
"/heavenlybeachgalaxyscenario/scenariodata.bcsv". I changed "/heavenlybeachgalaxyscenario/scenariodata.bcsv" to "/biggalaxyscenario/scenariodata.bcsv". So what you need to do is type "StageData/TheNameOfTheGalaxy/TheNameOfTheGalaxyScenario.arc" in Archive and type "/thenameofthegalaxyscenario/scenariodata.bcsv". So don't be confused, only replace all the "HeavenlyBeachGalaxy" names you see with the name of the galaxy you want to change the comet on.
When you are done, click on the "Open" button.

Also, word this out better.

Is my edit on my thread good now or is it more I should fix?
