I wonder about for how I will add new stars in SMG2. The star you choose for a level, and a new power star there too. Will I open ScenarioData.bcsv in the BCSV editor, click on add the write the number which came after the number of the star I added, then repack it, go to Whitehole and edit the new scenario and add a power star? Is it right way? But if it is so, how will the "243" numbers be for all my star I taked? That number wasn't never made by Nintendo. Does anyone know how I will do?

All that is is how to edit existing new stars. (The one you made.) I'm making a tutorial on how to do it from scratch.

What are you talking about, it literally adds a 243rd star. Sure it doesn't tell you how to make a new layer for it but it's still adding another star like he asked about :P

Using this method I managed to add stars up to 250.

What happened to the 251st star, if I may ask? Did it crash or something?

No, I just didn't add it. :P

However, someone (I think it was MrRean...?) told me that the star counter is an 8-bit integer and thus only goes up to 255, but I've never actually bothered to test it.

Nope, I never said anything about the star limit.

Oh, I think it was Marionumber1. But anyway, is there anything to suggest that that is true?

Well, I'm suggesting adding about 270 stars. If that works, then uh...there's a high limit. :P

Probably 65k, right?

Even If it does go that high, the digit placing might have a limit that might make it go funny or crash the game.

I think it does have a limit, but although, the actual stars do not show up all at once when you add them. (Unlike a galaxy, where it can lag and crash.)
