Can we please stop derailing the thread. This thread is supposed to be about the Hacking Reform plan and it needs to stay about that until the plan is fully implemented. Just because I made this thread doesn't mean stuff is going to happen all of a sudden, and this pointless derailment is a perfect example of why nothing productive has happened in the past. If something is going to happen, everyone has to work for it (as I mentioned in the post people don't apparently notice anymore).

So please. This thread is about talking about ideas and concerns about the reform. Here's a topic to discuss. What should we do with the old SMG section, do we archive it all and start off fresh, do we do some thread moving to the additional forums. I'm leaning more towards the first option but SB likes the second option more.

We ought to move the threads from the SMG2.5 Playtesting board into the SMG Levels board. They really are just level downloads that are pretty hard to find with the new layout.

I don't think it should be called "A State of Galaxy" when it's about the aspects of Galaxy hacking. I think it should be called "A Slice of Galaxy."

I think both names don't make any sense, and the demo should just be given a direct, to-the-point name that explains what it is.

Instead of a Bowser boss battle, how about a Bowser Jr. boss battle/galaxy? That way we can show off that we can make a custom boss battle just like how the dragon boss in world 1 is unique. I have an idea for a Bowser Jr. level that involves flip-switches and the red star.

We can't make custom boss behaviors, it that's what you're insinuating.

But what we can do is re-texture bosses. That's about as much so far. If you do it right, it can look awesome.

Okay. My idea for a boss is whereyou above a lava lake and there are four pillars that you have to ground pound on. Meanwhile the boss attacks you from going to pillar to pillar. Maybe Gulburt or whatever that dragon is called could attack you? However the fact that he does the downward lunge into the dirt wouldn't work when your on flip-switches in the air. Oh well, maybe you can just hit the pillars avoiding enemies sort of like star road's you have to kill the piranha plants?

You could do stuff with hammer bros. jumping from pillar to pillar. There's a massive range of what you can do with enemies.

Can we make cut-scenes? I am pretty sure we can't I am just making sure. ;) If we can't can we change dialogue in already made cut-scenes?

Also can we take bosses from galaxy one like the Bowser Jr. airship boss and import it into Galaxy 2?

Finally is it possible to program the boss to die in a different way then in the game? Such as hitting all the pillars in my idea will trigger the boss to die, even though in galaxy 2 you killed a certain boss a different way. Sorry if I sound stupid. ;)

I don't know about cutscenes, but AFAIK none of that stuff with bosses can be done at the moment
