Yah... I dont celebrate Christmas, I'm Jewish. But I'll just be studying for finals, playing some games, and take advantage of some deals for boxing day (like black Friday, but here in Canada it's the day after Christmas day, December 26th) |

Well, I don't celebrate Christmas because I'm Muslim, and meh. Nothing special planning. Maybe my grandma will come over for New Year. Some of our foreign teachers won't come to school on Christmas, and that's about it. ____________________

I do celebrate Christmas.
However, I do not like the increasing commercialization and consumerism of Christmas. The Christmas decorations gave been on sale since before Halloween and Thanksgiving. I was at stores simply looking at Christmas stuff with no plans to buy decoratioms. There was only some Christmas stuff left and that was because most of it had been sold. In fact, there was a clearance on December 15. I mean, seriously? Stores are profiting from all the commercialization and consumerism. But eventually people will be like "Ah, fuck it. I ain't buying Christmas stuff until December 1." So then the current recession will worsen. Same with school stuff. I would not be surprised if there is a Back To School sale in early June 2014. Long story short, Christmas is no longer about celebration and giving (with or without religious meaning). It is just "BUY! BUY! BUY! My family doesnt do anything for christmas as i previously stated, but we make use of the sales. We dont spend on useless stuff tho. We actually buy stuff that we were wanting, see if theres a sale. If theres a sale, we buy it. If theres no sale, we still buy it, since we were already planning on doing it. For example. Steam:
-lego marvel superheroes is $30 on steam. The winter sale, it is at $22.50. -spore was is $30. On sale it was at $5. -counterstrike global offencive was at $15. It is $7.50 now. -gmod, $10. Now $5, sometimes it gets as low as $2.5. At least steam never runs out of merchandise. Point is, i think the holidays are the best time to spend money on what you were already planning to buy before, but dont seem tempted by other stuff that is on sale, youll just overspend that way. |

Ssd's are generally faster, BUT, much more expencive per gb and degrade over time, which makes them bad if you have a desktop. If you have a laptop on the other hand... Its good.
Mrrean, what are you gonna get bf4 for? Dont get it for ps3 or xbox 360, the game is really bad for them, lag, and 24 players instead of 64. If its for one of the new consoles or (pc master race) then yeah, just get it, its an awesome game with a shit campaign, BUT WHO PLAYS BATTLEFIELD FOR THE CAMPAIGN? Regarding cod ghosts. Dont get it, its bad, really bad. Id recommend all of you guys, go on steam, buy yourselves garrys mod and counterstrike global offencive for 8.75 dollars, BOTH GAMES, which in my opinion are super awesome, for really cheap for the winter sale. Thank you steam for giving us good games for a really cheap price this holiday season. |
