I tried it with one of the wipes to try to find a play transition command (cause idk where the file select buttons are and I can't find them atm) but it didn't work.

EDIT: just tried it for an NCG and it didn't work

- You then import an image (256x92) into the game as usual over any existing image and extract the .NCG, .NCL and .NSC files using NSMBe.

You mean by using the minimap editor? This happened when I tried:

You could try it in NSMBe, but I think the NSC editor is pretty broken (You can probably still import stuff though). SM64DSe minimap editor is shit for non minimap files.

Figured out the error- I had to edit some of the image settings.

SM64DSe's Minimap Editor is still picky and crap. I recommend NSMBe5 either way.

Well, I followed one of the tutorials on how to replace a minimap in the Minimap Editor and I followed the steps as it said and it was still giving me an unhandled exception. I was obviously doing something wrong but when I asked Fiachra about it he just linked me back to the tutorial I followed.

As opposed to NSMBe5 where you just LZ compress the NCG and then open it and the palette.

Thank you all for your help especially Fiachra (a week ago I solved problem with bmd file). I have imported almost all graphics from Main Screen [I' not used minimap editor] I just used Tilemolester with a decompressed file and game works very well on DS console and emulators. I did not compressed texBank_E.bmd again.

as you can see it has been done for my language:

I used exactly the same palletes (see below)
and other fonts for "adventure" inscription.
a little hard work to do this. However I have some experience
to design pixelart graphics:)

I know this is an old thread but I've tried numerous times to create a custom title screen and am having no luck. I think my issue is the byte sizes never perfectly line up to the numbers given. I cant get the image to be 32k for some reason

The size of your converted image? What dimensions is it and what size in bytes is it?

The image size is 256 by 192 and is 49.1kb

The lengths I've given are the length of the original title screen image within which any converted image must fit. Have you followed these steps?

Maybe my issue is writing over an existing file. I'm only finding .icg, icl and .isc files using the SM64DSE minimap editor. Im not sure which files i should overwrite to get the right results.

Just copy the settings exactly as you see them in my screenshot.
