is that camera part the problem why the camera doesn't follow around my planet?

also a little tip: make the titles at the menu clickable so that you jump to that section of the tutorial. its a hell to scroll al the way to your point.

Well there are a few things to check out for:
1) All faces need to be textured
2) All textures must be in the power of 2
3) If you are using vertex colors, you have to use obj2bdl v0.4
4) Triangulate the model
5) Include the MTL

And uh that error, I dunno. Did you run main.py?

All of those are fulfilled (no vertex colors)

Is the obj in the same folder as the main.py?

Actually, that doesn't seem to be a model error. It looks more like a error made in the program o.o
When you downloaded the model importer, did you put all of the folders in the same directory?

Well yeah, the issue was there wasn't any folder called Untitled_Textures
and you used JPEG instead of PNG. heh. Do you want the bdl, or do you want to import it yourself?

Damn! That is by far the longest tutorial on how to edit a game. o_o I thought that hacking SMG would be as easy as NSMBDS/NSMBWii hacking. Boy, was I VERY wrong.

I am interested in hacking SMG but the only thing that is holding me back is what I need, such as a fast laptop, good graphics to run Dolphin.

skawo, what version of python are you using? You need python 3 and it looks like you might be running python 2.

Are you sure? Because the error in the second window in the screenshot you posted occurs in python 2 but shouldn't occur in python 3.

Well, I have both 3.3 and 2.7 installed, but I think 3.3 should be the one used. Maybe isn't, though. Either way, doesn't matter now.

You should edit the thread and say it's possible to add paths and how, how to edit galaxies banners, tell more about switches, changing comets, making platforms and backgrounds, adding new zones, how to replace galaxies, how to edit the worldmaps, changing minigalaxy icons, adding new stars, texture editing, animation editing, how to add/edit areas, editing TPL and other image-related files, editing AW files and maybe music switching in levels. Am I missing something?
