I don't know why I got this error while its starting. The Windows Updates are terrible to deal with. I have this error almost 3 weeks and it's said: "Preparing Automatically Repair" and "Diagnostic your PC" and boom. I cannot get it to work any longer. But I dont know what this is: Srttrail.txt but it seems like there's a problem with my Surface Pro or even use the crappy file to place it on my pc. I reset everything, I lost everything including my works from Visual Studio, Kaze's files Pictures and videos. Is there a way to fix this problem? Only one thing I can't do is the command prompt. ____________________ http://potential.boards.net/ |

don't use Windows 10 (or anything past 7)
but seeing your post it appears to be too late, so... dunno maybe if you can access the Surface's storage externally, you can save some things (but given it's more of a tablet, it's likely on-board FLASH memory or someshit rather than a HDD/SSD) ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Nice selfie you've got there!
Anyway, access some other PC, make a Bootable USB of Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, and re-install everything from scratch, seeing you've already lost all your Files, anyway. Be aware that the USB must be bootable by UEFI, Bootable USBs made for BIOS won't work. Also, Staple: 1. You can't run Windows 7 or earlier on a Surface Tablet, because of the lack of UEFI Support in Windows 7 and earlier. 2. The storage of Surface Tablets is in fact SSD, not some on-board FLASH Memory or someshit. I own a Surface Pro 3 myself as well, and I'm even using it, as we speak. |

the files aren't actually lost unless the storage medium is destroyed or erased, and I don't think that's the case here, but again, it needs to be accessible, and yeah if it's onboard it's a problem (unless you're willing to solder shit to your Surface's motherboard)
also I read that 7 (and even Vista) can be installed in UEFI mode unrelatedly, the 'selfie' might use an imgs tag ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

The good news is, the SSD in the Surface Pro 3 is a Samsung-branded one, that's what the Device Manager says, at least.
At least, I'm not entirely sure if that's good news or not, when it comes to File Recovery... |

I don't know why you'd want to use Windows 7 on a Surface. Like, it was basically made with the later operating systems in mind. ____________________ |

My Surface dont have Windows 7 on it at all. I bought it since May 30, 2015 which is installed Windows 8.1 and upgraded it to Windows 10 myself.
Edit: Yami. I have a Surface Pro 3 as well. Do you have Windows 10 as well? Are there any problems with it too? ____________________ http://potential.boards.net/ |
