The way I have been running this board is just plain wrong.

I have been a dictator, banning several members who were actually very smart and well-thought people, just because they said or did something I didn't like.

Those people proposed to run the board, and bring in real democracy.

I accepted their proposal, and humbly stepped down. They elected MK7tester as their main admin.

To mark the end of the Kuribo64 dictatorship, all the old staff has been banned. All the normal users have also been given moderator powers, to comply with the democracy system.


I hope the board will turn into something acceptable.

It seems that people who cause drama in #SMG2.5 and get kickbanned from there, use #kuribo64 as a substitute.

You may not do that.

Whoever is caught doing so by the staff, will be permanently banned from #kuribo64.

Yep. If you've seen your postcount drop a lot, no worry, you haven't been hacked or anything in the like.

It's just that from now on, posts made in Relaxland aren't counted in users' postcounts.

Posts in deleted (not just trashed) threads don't count either.

I hope this will help stop the abusive postcount++ going on.

The new IRC channel for Kuribo64 will be at:

irc.djbouche.net, #kuribo64

Reasons why we're moving away from digibase.ca is because that server isn't reliable enough. djbouche.net is much more reliable, and is also operated by Emuz (among others) who is the owner of Kafuka, so if a problem happens we can talk to someone we know

The move will be complete when NinaBot is reprogrammed to report posts and such in the new channel (I don't have access to that so it'll take a little while). In the meantime, you can stay in the old channel, but it's recommended you use the new one

In the meantime, post reporting will be handled by the good ol' KuriBot. It isn't as full-featured, lightweight and flexible as NinaBot but hey it does the job.

The channel is also getting a different name from the old one because it's Kuribo64's IRC, and not just a random SMG hacking channel. And also because Kuribo64 isn't only about SMG.


The channel for SMG2.5 is moving too.

I have recently observed an increase of backseat modding in Relaxland. I'm telling this message here because it applies to the whole board and not just Relaxland.

YOU ARE NOT THE STAFF.

Let the staff handle moderation. We close threads because we feel it's necessary, not because you guys are saying so.


Is this quite clear? Next person to act like they're staff will get banned for a while. I'm sick of that shit.

Nobody is perfect, and he can make mistakes like all of you. If their posts are being useless or otherwise problematic, we staff will take care of them.
