There are a few layouts here that tend to make links unreadable, because the links are left at their default colors.

So I figured I'd remind you guys of a few layout rules:

Always set a text color, don't rely on the default one. (admittedly it's less severe than RVL because we only have dark themes, but still)

Always set link colors, and ensure links stay readable.

So yeah, we have a nice PM feature where you can start a conversation with several other people, that's cool and all.

It's meant for private discussions inside small groups. For example, sharing things about a project that you don't want to be public.


It isn't meant for mass-PMing the whole board to talk about your project or beg for help. For that, open a public thread.


Am I quite clear? Next person to mass-PM the board gets banned.


PS: conversations are limited to 6 users, that limit is there for a reason. Getting around it for mass-PMing purposes will get you banned on sight.

As you may already know, Kuribo64 covers 3DS hacking and homebrew (among other things).

I did changes to the board's database structure, namely, how it stores posts. It should be (marginally) faster now, and this also makes things a lot easier to deal with.

I've been improving the database security on the server. I basically deleted the general MySQL account that every site was using, and set up separate accounts, so that if one of our sites has an exploit, it doesn't give access to the other databases.


Let me know if anything is broken.

Your signature shouldn't be a huge wall of things, even if you use spoilers to 'hide' it. Walls of things should go in your bio. Spoilers shouldn't be used as a means to embed a ton of things in your signature and/or get around the signature height limit.


Remember that there is a limit of 7 spoilers per post, and spoilers in your signature count.

Let me rephrase it so you people stop asking me if X or Y is okay.

Your signature should stay under the height limit. SPOILERS ARE NOT A WAY TO GET AROUND THE LIMIT.

If you have a big picture, video, wall of text, or whatever big shit in your sig, it should go in your bio. Or be in your signature but linked. Big things have no place in signatures.



The board now filters spoilers in signatures, either way.



edit- removing the parts that are no longer relevant; spoilers aren't limited anymore but they were changed to always take space instead of "compressing" so people aren't tempted to stuff a ton of shit in them

SMG has been a fun ride, but we need to move on. I'm going to close the SMG forums.

Reasons for this are:
a) the scene is basically nonexistant or almost due to the sheer complexity of that game
b) the board's admins don't care about SMG anymore, which would be ironic for a SMG hacking board
c) as I said, we're moving on. To new, more fun things. We'll be unveiling them soon.


The SMG forums will be closed and archived. The ObjectDB will be closed to prevent vandalism, but still available for Whitehole to download.


In the event someone wants to try starting a good SMG hacking scene, and not just for the sake of power or fame, I'd gladly give them whatever they need for that. But Kuribo64 will not support SMG anymore.

If you used the same password here and on other places, change it now. Especially if one of those places happens to be Board2.
