I've been wondering, Is this hack going to have a story? I don't mean something like a new game storyline, but just something to kind of space it from just being SMS levels?

Well, the reason I suggested a net is because staying on the tightropes is supposed to be a challenge, and just having them be normal bridges kind of takes it away. Grabbing on to a net in 64 DS is still a challenge though, because you need to latch on with R and not let go until you're finished. These are the nets I'm talking about, by the way.

Don't have one planned out yet but it'll probably be a bit of a mixture of both: Bowser and Bowser Jr. find that magic paintbrush, kidnap Peach and use the paintbrush to trap Mario and friends in the paintings.

I'm not sure how that would look, you'd need to have them elevated above the roofs for the player to grab, it would look strange and out of place. A few of the roofs will probably have those miniature windmill-like structures so there'd not be much room.

can the bowser jr final boss be him drawing (chain chomp, cheep cheep, bomb, bullet bill) randomly, and they come to life? like a triggered actor spawner.

Wow, I have not entered the Kuribo64 forums recently. Good to see alot of progress has been made on your mod and editor Fiachra. I think the new water animations and the mini-map look great on Bianco hills, along with the level of coarse. Also, is the music using custom instrument samples? it's awesome accurate to Super Mario Sunshine! Keep up the good work man.

i cant get it to work i patched it and put it on a dstwo cart and it never loaded it just stayed on the loading screen

Thanks. Yes, the music does use custom instrument samples, it was Stomatol that imported the music.

Spawning random objects is definitely possible, I already know how to spawn objects whenever I want but him actually drawing their shape is probably not possible. I also don't know whether you'll be fighting him directly or whether it'll be Mecha-Bowser in Pinna Park.

Does it work in an emulator? If so, turn off any patches in DSTwo and use "Clean" mode.

Most likely because there is a really popular flash game called Super Mario Sunshine 64 (there's also 128 and 63 in the flash series), but Super Mario Sunshine DS sounds good anyway.

Do you have all 4 movement patches installed in your hack? (Swap Run with Walk, Disable Run-Up, Fix Swimming, Increase Acceleration)

I'm no expert, but I think not having all of them could cause some issues.

I don't use the "Additional Patches" feature, any ones I need I convert to work with the ASM hacking template. But no, the first and second are used with modifications/as a base but they're only part of the changes, there's quite a lot of other patches that were required.

That would be assuming you want no behaviour other than that which those patches provide. You can see from the video that the controls I have are working fine.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

btw, do you plan on making FLUDD's water stream thinner, and perhaps touch the ground? or can the DS not handle that?

I don't want to seem rude in asking, but has this made any progress in the last two months? It sorta felt like there used to be more updates beforehand, it was pretty exciting checking in every while and now and seeing you'd made more progress.

About how far would you say you are done? Again, sorry if this comes off as rude.

But then we wouldn't have Luigi.
And don't forget that remodelling playable characters is probably the hardest type of remodel.
